Absolutely terrible and obnoxious service. Middled age lady was vile and discriminating towards families with children. We were given a suggestion for takeout instead of dining in when politely informed that we are a family with four kids. When we chose to dine in, we were told to finish our meal quickly as the restaurant would be closing in less than an hour. Being respectful of their operation hours, we ate as fast as humanly possible, only to see customers strolling in at the time of their closing and being politely invited to take a seat!

Same obnoxious woman replied to me in English when spoken to in Mandarin, possibly trying to embarrass me at speaking a foreign language (obviously ended up embarrassing herself with her atrocious standard of English). It was nothing less than a bad judgement call on to dine at this place when there are plenty of better selections in town. If you’re coming with children, think twice before you step in there. We travel extensively with our children and had never been treated so poorly. Food was very basic (we had much better Chinese fare everywhere else). The lack of proper restaurant etiquette to treat every customer with respect gives other Chinese establishments a bad name.

(Just to add: the restaurant falsely claimed that I said my children might be too slow at eating. Untrue! I merely asked if it might be too rushed to dine in as I wasn’t sure how long it takes for food to be served upon placing an order. The server had the discriminating impression that children eat very slowly. Full of prejudice towards kids. Same advice to families with children, think twice and very carefully before you choose to dine at this place that serves mediocre Chinese food with the most awful service. Do yourself a favour and walk down to the Korean restaurant instead for much more...

The service was very bad. I would give ZERO stars. First of all, when we walked in, we were told by an older waiter that we could pick our table and sit ANYWHERE in the restaurant. Therefore, we picked the table by the window and sat down. But then he said to us that we couldn't sit there because the window seats were for a group of 4 and asked us to sit somewhere else. There were no tables for just 2 people and the restaurant was not busy at the time (only one other couple in the restaurant with us). Secondly, when we were ready to order, my husband told the same waiter what we would like to order by saying the number of the dish on the menu. The waiter told him not to WASTE his time by saying the number. What is the point to number your dish on the menu if you don't want customers to order by number? And saying wasting his time is very rude when the restaurant was nearly empty. Lastly, I wanted to order beef with eggplant but was told there was no eggplant for the day. So I re-picked beef with Chinese broccoli and was told again they don't have Chinese broccoli. My husband said how about you tell us what you don't have. The waiter tried to explain but then stopped and instead said to my husband, "It's okay, you are in a bad mood today." So it appeared that it was okay for him to waste our time by re-looking at the menu and re-picking dishes but not okay to waste his time by ordering with the number...

Thought the food was very fresh and tasty but the lady was not great to deal with who packed up the food and did our bill. Had leftovers so got some to go containers then got our bill and handed her the card... suddenly I'm handed a recipt for a fair bit more than the bill was??? What's going on here!! Well she decided to tip 15% without consent or asking me or handing the machine over like every restaurant does. Along with charging for to go containers that i was not notified of. And she was not very polite at all! As with many places automatic gratuities are okay given you have told the customer so they can make a decision to eat there and pay given charges. There is no notice of these charges anywhere nor where they verbally communicated. Funny thing is that's fraud/stealing so will be reported to the local police detachment as that's illegal and wrong. Hopefully some severe concenquences will come this restaurants way as that's not the way to operate. If you're reading this and have had the same thing happen to you call the police on the restaurant!...

I just had dinner here and it was excellent! Having walked passed beforehand and seeing it was full of chinese people, I knew it would be good! Not knowing what to choose I went for the Combination for 1, you have chicken fried rice as a base, with either spring rolls or wonton soup, and with that you can choose 2 of about 8 different tasters (probably about a large third of a main portion) This means that for the same price as a main you can get 2 different mains in a smaller size. (you can add on a 3rd for a few $) Both of mine were delicious - lemon chicken and beef with vegetables. Two other things I appreciated were the fact that nobody pushed me into buying a drink (water was given and I didn't need anything else), and on the receipt the total gives you the suggested tip of 15%, 18% or 20%, this simplifies the obligatory act of tipping and it's clear to all if the tip was deserved. Here it definitely was!

The service was passable, but the food was a real letdown. We ordered the dinner for six, and the only dishes we enjoyed were the Yangchow fried rice and the calamari. The lemon chicken turned out to be plain breaded chicken breast with a lemon sauce served on the side. The dry garlic ribs were tough, and the chicken chop suey was underwhelming. The chow mein tasted identical to the chop suey, just with noodles added. The wonton soup lacked flavor and needed soy sauce and pepper to be edible. The ginger beef was crispy, but the sauce missed the mark. On top of the disappointing food, there are extra charges: $1 for each takeout box and a mandatory 15% service fee. Overall, the experience was not worth it, and we won’t be returning
