I recently indulged in a plate of chicken and waffles at North Vancouver Chicken Box, and while the taste was undeniably delightful, the digestive aftermath was a truly unforgettable and graphic experience - one that had me spending an agonizing four hours locked in a brutal battle with my bathroom.

The waffle, golden and crisp on the outside, was a soft, fluffy cloud on the inside, with just a hint of sweetness that complemented the savory components. The fried chicken, perched atop the waffle, was crispy perfection. The seasoning was a symphony of herbs and spices that danced on my taste buds, making it truly memorable. The maple syrup, generously poured over the ensemble, was a sticky, sweet nectar that bound all the elements together in culinary harmony.

However, the blissful taste journey was swiftly followed by a daunting digestive challenge. The richness of the fried chicken and waffle, combined with the sugary syrup, seemed to wage a battle within my stomach. It was as if my body was purging itself of every ounce of indulgence I had savored earlier. It was a brutal, punishing experience, and I'll spare you the explicit details, but suffice it to say that it was an ordeal that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

In hindsight, while the chicken and waffles were indeed a taste sensation, I would strongly advise anyone with a sensitive stomach or concerns about overindulgence to steer clear. This dish is a delightful treat, but it's one that can leave you not just weighed down and regretful but also locked in a graphic and gut-wrenching battle with your bathroom for hours on end. Update 🔍: I have tried almost everything and it has all been super delicious! Croissant waffle is buttery goodness. The salad is incredibly fresh and the dressings are very good. The burger is surprisingly juicy. And the Nashville flavor went way beyond my expectations. I thought it would be a common western style hot sauce (i.e. Frank's) but it's entirely different, it has a very unique taste to it and it's awesome. Now I'll have to try out the cheese powder flavor and their wings and yam fries. 😋 Honestly, we haven't had fried chicken from any other place since coming here! 🥇🍗

This place has quality fried chicken! You should definitely give it a try. I've eaten the crispy and the sweet & spicy flavours which were both delicious! First time going to Chicken Box and definitely won’t be the last!

I ordered the crispy chicken and waffles and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was Hot and fresh, amazing mixture of spices that tasted so good, the perfect amount of crunch on the coating and chicken itself was juicy and the perfect texture.

The waffles were also amazing. A satisfying crunch while the inside being fluffy, tasteful even without the syrup and just perfect with it. Also they gave the perfect amount syrup for the take out order.

My bf got the sweet and spicy chicken and was also extremely pleased with his meal as well.

Not to mention on top of the great food, the establishment was also very clean, the prices aren’t bad with today’s inflation and the workers are very nice and polite which further makes me want to come back.
