Not bad, but not supportive of laptop work. They don't even have wifi. So that's the bad, here's the good. Customer Service: Nice, friendly, fast and efficient. Not the most cheerful Barista I've ever met, but everyone has a personal preference that way. I prefer a highly caffeinated Barista with a big smile, but that's not everyone's cup of tea. So 5/5. Food: Typical. Nothing special. I'm sure they use a similar vendor as many other places in the area. Drink: Nothing Special. Good, but nothing unique or mind blowingly good. Atmosphere: Really nice and unique! A beautiful view of the square, great utilization of space without chairs/tables being jammed into each other and a great design-flow. Excellent for meeting up with friends or family to have a 15min chat before going somewhere else. The music is not overpowering either. We can hold a conversation without it interrupting.
Conclusion: If you're in the area, it's a great place to meet up and have a few good chats before moving on. Food/drink are unremarkable, but there's good. No wifi means I won't be hanging around, but I think...
Read moreSo far (I've only been here once) this place makes me happy. There isn't a ton of seating, so I don't so much see this as a place you can plan to stay and chat at... although, if you're lucky you might snag a couple spots. It's warm, inviting and well decorated without feeling pretentious....I would be so proud to host people in a "my home is your home" kinda way if my home looked like this.
We ordered three drinks and all were really good (pricey-but similar to Starbucks at a way higher quality) the staff were kind, but not overly friendly (but not at all cold).
We ordered a steamed milk for our toddler and it was prepared to the perfect drinking temperature (yay!! Especially because toddlers want things "right now!!" and not having to think about a possible toddler meltdown is ....awesome).
Maybe the best scone I've have had outside of England!
Looking forward to visiting regularly for family walks and...
Read moreWouldn't recommend the London Fog. I've visited this place a couple times now, mostly since a few friends recommended it and the open windows and door allow me to keep an eye on my dog tied up outside so I don't feel anxious the whole time I wait. But, the first time I ordered the Iced London Fog I doubt the tea bag even made contact with the water or milk since that's all it was--milk and water with ice. Needless to say, I couldn't finish it. The next time I went it wasn't even a London Fog--they gave me iced coffee with some milk instead. Though it wasn't what I ordered, I will admit that the coffee wasn't terrible. I believe in second chances but this place has greatly disappointed me twice now. I love the style, menu options, and overall ambience of the Kingston Coffee House, but I found the service to be lacking and the cost to be on...
