The California Sushi — Restaurant in Ontario

So I'm a huge sushi fan. I love all sorts of rolls and combinations.

The presentation of this place is beautiful, the rolls are well made and well put together.

I decided to try this place on a whim, since my cheapo place just wasn't hitting the mark anymore. The first time was okay until about halfway through the roll. I managed to get plastic saran wrap in every single piece there after. Not copious amounts, but enough to really put off the texture when you chew. I chalked it up to just being unlucky.

That is, until I had it a second time. Again, at face value the rolls look absolutely mouthwateringly flawless. Yet, again. I managed to get more saran wrap in my rolls, making me throw out half of them in disappointment. Since the rolls were bought months apart.

I would not slander the establishment, and perhaps I just ran into an unlucky streak. I'm going to give it another run tonight, so wish me luck. If I run into another dud run, I think I'll just scratch this sushi place off as an option. I hope the rest of you run into some...

I've been going to this sushi place for years. Initially I was worried the new ownership would take away the only sushi place I like in Windsor. However, they improved it. From the presentation of the food, to the taste of the food everything is better. I also really enjoy how lately they have been brining out samples of their unreleased items to try. It's things like that that make you feel like you're eating at a Michelin restaurant. The only thing that's missing is then keeping a CRM of your name and your preferences and greeting you by name at the door. allergic to mushrooms? Oh we have it in your file. Awful place, ordered through Uber eats and it was only supposed to take an hour, I cancelled after an hour because the order wasn't even ready for Uber eats to pickup. I was charged for the food anyway because the restaurant claimed they had started my order. I'm sorry but I think an hour for sushi is pretty ridiculous and the fact that it wasn't even ready to be picked up and the arrival time just kept on being pushed back was just a little frustrating. So if you want to pay to get frustrated, order from this place. I don't know how the food is and I never will because I'll never order from them again. Hope $40 was worth losing a...
