We had a fantastic wedding ceremony and reception at Buyers + Cellars on September 9th, 2023! If we could give them more than 5 stars, we absolutely would!
The venue was exactly what we were looking for when planning our small wedding event. The bay window at the front offered the perfect spot to hold our ceremony with family, and then seamlessly transitioned into the cocktail-style reception that carried on into the late night hours with our closest friends.
One of the aspects we adore about Buyers + Cellars is their incredible selection of wines, and Curtis, the wine guru, took it to the next level for us. About a month before our wedding, he set up an unforgettable wine tasting experience where we landed on choosing 10 exceptional wines from around the world to savour throughout the evening. It was a wine lover's dream come true!
Chef Archer also deserves a standing ovation for curating a delectable assortment of cocktail reception bites that not only catered to a variety of dietary requirements but also left our guests raving. The large charcuterie boards, hors d'oeuvres, sweet treats, and savoury late-night snacks were an absolute hit.
The venue itself has a timeless elegance in its decor and aesthetic. The warm and inviting ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for our photos.
Now, let's talk about the exceptional team at Buyers + Cellars. Curtis and his entire crew were nothing short of phenomenal. Their attentiveness and impeccable service truly elevated our evening and made it extraordinarily special. With an extensive wine list, they helped our guests choose wines that suited their tastes, ensuring everyone had an unforgettable experience.
If you're looking for a remarkable venue for a date night or an intimate gathering, look no further than Buyers + Cellars. This place is a hidden gem, and we can't recommend it enough. It's a perfect 10 out of 10 in every way!

When we first entered, the vibe of the place was modern, decorated beautifully. There were some attention to detail where they used a wine dispensing machine and even provided unscented soaps in the washrooms so that the scents do not distract from the wines we were drinking.
Pretty much everything was clean. Staff on site wore a mask at all times and sanitizers were available at every other seats. And to minimize contact with other guests there, the washrooms were split between us and the other group.
Now, the selection of wine was just incredible. So many options to choose from. There were some wine from very unique and uncommon places which was very appealing.
Curtis, the sommelier, was extremely knowledgeable about the wines. The service he, and the chef, provided us with was exceptional where they both made sure that we had a great experience during our stay. Couldn't have asked for more. In fact, Curtis pulled up photos of the actual wineries that produced the wines we drank which was quite captivating, making the experience more enjoyable.
The food was excellent as well. We ordered the charcuterie board for 2 and cheese board for 2. It was all very delightful and paired well with the variety of wines that we tried. Personally, their homemade Cumberland sauce and the pickled veggies went very well with a lot of the meats and cheeses on the boards. Delicious!
Clearly, everything about this place is phenomenal. We will definitely be back...

Calling all wine lovers, or tapas lovers!
A while back, I was able to visit Buyers/Cellers with friends - this place has been on my list for a while! They are known for their wine tastings, and what's great is that they have different sizes, so you can try a few without breaking the bank! As someone who loves variety and trying new things, I was stoked that you can make your own wine flights, which I did - with a rosé, white, and red! I chose 1 ounce of 3 types of wine, which comes out to $3-6/oz.
Their tasting environment is optimal, meaning there is neutralized air, unflavoured, filtered water (with Naturizzata), and even unscented soap in the washrooms. Of course, wine is served at optimal temperatures, and they use enomatic wine dispensers (to limit waste from oxidized wine).
They also serve food! Their menu of tapas and charcuterie is subject to availability - here were the dishes I tried: Mixed Marinated Olives ($7) - so classic with wine Morocco Inspired Bacon Wrapped Dates with Preserved Lemon Aioli ($9) - really flavourful, nice mix of sweet and smoky from the bacon Spanish White Anchovies, Smoked Pepper Pesto Roasted Tomatoes and Basil ($10) - if you like anchovies, you'll love this! Foie Gras with Cherries and Brioche ($12) - sooo rich and decadent Cheese/Charcuterie (for 2: $22, for 3: $33, for 4: $44) - great variety and...
