I went into the Bear's Den a few months ago when my Grandparents were in town for my Graduation. It was during the farmer's market hours on Saturday that we went because we were all hungry and wanted something to eat before going to the market.
It was the five of us in total and the restaurant wasn't overly busy, there were some other tables - but not a crazy amount. It took nearly 10 minutes after we sat down for someone to come simply to take our drink orders. It took around 15 minutes after that for us to actually get said drinks.
We all put in our orders and around 15 minutes later my dad and I got the Sausage and Bacon that we had ordered to go with all of our other food. But that was the only food we got. We assumed it would be coming out soon after, but we waited for 10 minutes and nothing came. The server went past us a few times but didn't seem to think it was odd. Then we continued to wait another 35 minutes for food that never came.
The waitress walked past us around 10 times in total, bringing food to the other tables around us and tending to them while not even seeming to notice or care about the fact that we hadn't received the majority of our meal.
My mom went to ask her where our food was and the only response that the girl could give was that she didn't know where it was, but she didn't make any offer to try and find out what had happened to our meal and didn't make any offer to retake our order and put it in again so that we could actually eat like we had wanted to.
My mom was getting angry and told the girl that if she didn't know where our meal was then maybe she should try and find out and the girl went into the back, presumably to do that.
We waited for news back and by this point, after over 45 minutes of waiting, all of our drinks were empty and we didn't even have anyone who came to offer to refill them. So we were sitting there waiting for food, watching everyone else around us eating, with nothing to even drink while we were waiting.
The girl finally came back and pretty much just said to my mom "we don't know what happened, we can't find the order anywhere." Yet again she did not offer to retake the order, she just stood there giving no solutions to the problem of them having lost our entire order.
Finally after waiting for so long my mom said "Fine then we are leaving. Don't expect us to pay the bill, because we didn't even get the majority of the things on it anyway." the only response from the girl was "That is understandable."
She didn't apologize for the fact that we sat there for nearly an hour, or that we didn't get to eat, or that they messed up and lost our meals.
She did have a bill with the amount that we were supposed to pay that should have told her that we ordered "Blank blank blank and blank all costing a total of blank". And if she lost that bill somewhere then why wouldn't you just offer to retake the order? On top of that she walked past us at least 10 times, and for some reason didn't think that it was odd that we didn't have any food - and also didn't offer to refill our drinks once. In order to get drink refills we actually had to go and flag down another server, just for some more water and coffee to fill our cups while we waited for our non-existent food.
I don't ever intend to go in there again and as a server even just remembering this whole thing...

She took us to the table tho. She was chewing her gum and not smiling at us at all...My bf asked for hot water, honey and lemons. She brought us the hot water in a glass...not in a mug. The glass would be too hot to hold. So he had pour it in the coffee mug that was sitting at our table. We gave our orders to the other waitress. Apparently its the first day that they were training new staff in the kitchen and it was the fathers day which was a busy day there. We waited for first half hour for to refill his hot water or to hear any new updates on our food. When she finally came to our table to check on us, we asked for the hot water refill. She forgot about it. And saw his cup was empty she went into the kitchen and brought coffee. We had to tell her no, we wanted the hot water again. Waited for another half hour, our food finally came. The food was a bit cold unfortunately. They got my eggs overcooked, I asked for medium. I feel they need to teach their servers the etiquettes and they shouldnt have trained the kitchen staff on a busy day during their first day. I ordered a hot chocolate while waiting for my meal and unfortunately the glass exploded on me I was lucky that the drink was not very hot but it could have been and at no time did anyone come to see me in the bathroom to see if it hadn't burned me or something. And as I was soaked and I tried to clean my clothes and the chocolate wouldn't come off I decided not to stay, I remained respectful and before leaving I still wanted to tell the waitress and she completely ignored us. Whatever is busy or not you should take time to talk with the customers when something happens and not ignore them even it's not your fault so very bad service customer.
