Four of us went for my father in laws birthday. We ordered appetizers: classic ceasar, arancini, escargot, and the gnocchi special. Mains were: ossobucco, cannelloni, polpette (meatballs) with garlic toast, and fusilli con fungi. Desserts were: creme brulée and assorted gelato. We were treated with some tiramisu as a birthday treat.
Reasons why I should have given 3 stars: pasta was way too overcooked. Not just one, but all of them. It was quite disappointing. The rosé sauce was also much too sweet.
Reasons why I gave 4 stars: the service was WONDERFUL. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and the atmosphere of the winterized veranda was magical. Even though the pasta was overcooked and rosé sauce too sweet, all the other dishes were delicious. The escargot was incredible and the chef was able to use the sauce in my fusilli dish, as I requested. The house dressing in the ceasar salad was light, tart, and flavourful. Portions were perfect. The arancini was a bit bland, but a nice contrast to the more dominant flavors of the other appetizers. Overall, I would skip it in light of the other options.
Will definitely return and will make a point of requesting al dente pasta to ensure it is done right. I am looking forward to our leftovers tomorrow,...

My wife ordered a chefs special chicken & pasta dish that featured the ‘Amore Sauce’. Judging from the taste, ‘Amore Sauce’ is nothing more than sweet Thai chili sauce and some kind of cream. The chicken did not taste fresh and my wife compared it to reheated Subway chicken (which is fine at Subway, but not at an Italian restaurant that charges $36 for the meal). The pasta was served in an oil-based sauce with a touch too much oil that pooled on her plate.
I ordered the Linguine di Maré which was meant to be a seafood linguine. It was mostly okay. The sauce was bland and the noodles were over cooked. I was underwhelmed.
The patio is mostly okay, but you get a decent amount of road noise. The music was also all over the map (pick a lane people).
Silver lining, the service was good. We told them it was our anniversary and they gave us some glasses of Prosecco on the house.

Read moreVery poor service, no apologies from the server or manager after my pasta was not cooked properly and they came back with a new one at least 30 minutes or more after my whole party had already finished eating. My parents dined here the night before and were offered a free dessert when one of their dishes was late, we did not receive this or even have the item taken off of my bill, perhaps they thought because of our age we didn't deserve the full service (?). My friends experienced uncomfortable stares from other patrons at the restaurant, I'm not sure why they felt the need (obviously this is hard for the staff to fix, but didn't help our experience). To finish off our evening our server coughed right into my friends face and just said she forgot she wasn't wearing a mask and that she was fully vaccinated.. please note even if you're vaccinated we don't want to be coughed on! Not impressed, but maybe if you're above 50 you'll have good...
