We attended a luncheon at the Blue Heron Restaurant this week and with one exception (more on that later), the service was exceptional, the food and prices were very good, and the lounge venue very comfortable with beautiful views of the golf course.
The exception was that as the first guests to arrive (the event organizer wasn't there yet) we were not greeted with "Welcome", by the obviously agitated duty manager, but a string of complaints about the reservation and warnings about how slow the service would be by result.
How unprofessional. He should have consulted with his staff to get his facts straight, rather than lambasting guests upon arrival and making everyone uncomfortable.

   Read moreGreat course to play. Unfortunately, the weather didnât hold up and the lightning started and the golf shop sounded the horn as we were mid round. Despite telling them we were from out of town, they wouldnât provide any form of refund. Instead, a staff member simply handed us his business card as a form of rain cheque instead. When I mentioned having to pay for a full round, but being told to leave the course via the horn wasnât appealing, he said âyou donât have to stop, this just takes the liability off usâ.
Be warned: if there is any rain, thunder, lightning as happens in this area during the summer, you either have to play through it, or forfeit the funds. Ignore the horn and get struck by lightning; management would prefer...

The view of the golf course, garden areas and fountain was lovely. It has windows and a covered deck on two sides of the room - itâs full of light. The staff could not be more accommodating.
