The Shoppe is one of Saskatoon’s most special spots — a local gem where quality, flavour, and aesthetic come together beautifully. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, just steps from the river, it offers a gorgeous view that makes every visit feel peaceful and memorable. Whether you’re out for a river walk or exploring downtown, this is the perfect stop. The interior is absolutely stunning — clean, modern, and totally Instagram-worthy. Every detail feels curated with style and intention, making it not just a shop or café, but a top-tier photo location. It’s one of those spaces where you just want to sit, sip, snap a pic, and stay a while. And the food? Next level. The baked goods are always fresh, crafted with high-quality ingredients, and full of flavour. Every bite feels thoughtful and indulgent — from flaky croissants to seasonal treats. You can taste the quality — this isn’t mass-produced. If you’re after a cheap donut made with palm oil and artificial flavours, then maybe head to Tim Hortons. But if you value authentic flavour, real ingredients, and something that feels special, The Shoppe is the place for you. Prices reflect the quality — and it’s worth every penny. This isn’t just food, it’s an experience. This is a local business worth supporting — stylish, welcoming, and filled with heart. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee and croissant, searching for a meaningful gift, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment with a beautiful view, The Shoppe always delivers. A true Saskatoon treasure — highly,...

Edit: This was formerly a 5-star review.

I really like this place and their sweet treats but there is a clear lack of customer service training for employees. Some are friendly and helpful but there are far too many times where we have visited and received very poor service.

The last time we visited, there was only one staff member working. They were busy with serving seated customers so we were patient. (We love the treats and are willing to wait).

Unfortunately, the staff member walked by us multiple times without acknowledging we were there and when they were able to help waiting customers, they chose to help the people that just walked in the door and not the customers that were patiently waiting. After waiting 15 minutes to purchase our items and then waiting more time while they helped new customers that came in after us, they walked by us without saying a word. Now at the 25 minute mark, we left.

We really do love this place and come often, but considering this isn't the first time we've received poor service, we won't be back. There is a clear need to train staff to provide better service. Even a simple, "Hi. I'll be with you in a moment" goes a long way versus walking past and not acknowledging customers that have been waiting. Not recognizing that it is important to service waiting customers first verses those that just walked is a clear indicator that staff needs better training.

It's unfortunate, as we have been loyal customers for quite some time, that we've decided...

I went there late last night before closing and there was not much and I was like whatever it’s late they probably just don’t have much in so I went back in this morning for brunch and there still wasn’t much of anything there no product I asked for a prosciutto croissant sandwich they didn’t have that and so I got some stuffed cheesecake French toast to go. All my stuff was on the side my French toast didn’t have anything on it not to mention it was burnt. And I get the stuff on the side because I got it to go but I was very dissapointed to realize my French toast was not stuffed at all. It was dry and empty and burnt and I had to dress it myself. Long story short they never have supply. My boyfriend asked for their dipping dots of course they didn’t have that either. For such expensive food you’d think they’d make it properly or atleast give you what’s advertised. As I said lack of stock could just be shipment the next day or something but when you pay $15 for stuffed French toast you want your French toast stuffed. And the stuff on the side had whipped cream and strawberries. Where’s the...

A Hidden Gem in Saskatoon – A Must Visit! This place is absolutely stunning inside – the interior is so thoughtfully designed, it feels like you’ve stepped into a charming European café. Whether you're snapping photos for Instagram or just want to capture a beautiful memory for yourself, this place is picture-perfect. I tried the Napoleon cake, and wow… it’s more than delicious. Honestly, it tastes even better than my mother-in-law’s homemade version – and that’s saying a lot! The layers were light, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and full of warmth – the kind of place that makes you want to sit down, slow down, and savor the moment. Everything is spotlessly clean, which just adds to the overall experience – you can tell the owners really care about every detail. I’m not a local, but I already can’t wait to be back and enjoy this place again. If you're in Saskatoon, The Shoppe is a must-visit. It’s a treat for both your taste buds and your soul.

The treats and baking are good, the shop itself is lovely, great location. However, there’s no prices or descriptions on anything, so you need someone to go through each item with you, and when they have SO much you’re really taking up a lot of time. It would be nice to be able to know what things are so you can just give the staff your order when it’s your turn. There is a menu board, but the items on there don’t seem to match what is out. Each time we’ve been their staff has been more interested in their phones or eachother to help you. They have 50% off after 6pm, but it’s only a couple things, and it’s hard to know what. Last time I was there, I purchased one of the muffin/croissants, that was behind the clear glass, except the staff member went to grab it off a tray on the counter. I had watched a young child reach up to touch them just moments before (picture included to see where the items were sitting) I want to love going here. But it always misses the mark.

This shop is beautiful and well staffed, but extremely overpriced. Most of the candy treats that they have can be bought from Yupik for a fraction of the cost per volume. We got a half cup of caramels that are identical to the website for $9.95. The marshmallows we bought tasted like cardboard and had an off-putting texture for $14.95. The pastries are aesthetically pleasing and likely the freshest items aside from drinks, but the specialty croissants that we bought were quite salty. They are better price wise, at $8 for about twice the size of the average croissant with a buttercream filling and fruit. Overall, go for the aesthetic and fresh foods, but not for the candy.
