I have never been to a more mindful restaurant. Ever since covid I have had histamine reactions to a majority of foods.
I was able to eat here with the zero issues. The avocado toast was really good and so was my oat latte. I have not eaten bread in 4 years due to my reactions. The bread they chose was a gluten-free sourdough. I had no reactions. My husband had banana, peanut butter and granola on top of sourdough and it was really good.
The food is extremely fresh and they even put edible flowers on top of our meals. A lot of restaurants tastes extremely flavorful because they use chemicals. They use natural foods and natural sugars such as honey to complement their food.
There are no added chemicals for flavor and the coffee bar has different kinds of milks and honey as an alternative to sugar. I couldn't believe there was such an amazing restaurant like this.
The cup that the coffee came in felt so comfortable. There was a little gift section so I looked and I saw the cup and started reading and found out it was made of coffee husks. The Cup itself had a recycling program where you could swap out your cup with any other provider who offers these cups. The owner sourced things like that out because she is mindful. They also had jewelry there that was gold filled and gold plated because it's safer for you than cosmetic jewelry.
The vibe in there is light and airy. It honestly made my whole day knowing that I could eat something that I wouldn't react to and it was just warm and cozy. There was so much light coming in because of the amount of windows.
I live in London Ontario and I wish we had something like this here. Restaurants claim to be healthy but majority of them are not. This restaurant is the real deal. They even make their own flower for their baked goods and their own nut milk.
If you are heading to Sauble Beach I would certainly recommend visiting...
Read moreWe went to the Wellness Refinery twice within the past week, and both times, the customer service was absolutely atrocious. The food is good, and the smoothies (Mocha and Matcha) were good, but the service and prices are another story. For reference, breakfast for 4 will cost you $190.
Both visits were served by the same employee, and each time we left frustrated. The first time, there was a huge line, and we waited about 15 minutes without being acknowledged or even looked at. A simple “we’ll be with you shortly” would’ve been nice, but instead, we were totally ignored- even when the employee was standing right in front of us she didn’t bother looking at us. Instead, the staff were chatting with each other, checking their phones, and leaving completed orders sitting in the kitchen without serving them. She later apologized saying they were short staffed, but actually working would have helped with the wait.
The second time was no better. It was a quiet day with no other orders, yet it took them 30 minutes to make two bagels, a coffee, and a smoothie. The employees were still standing around, chatting, and we had to ask them to give us our food that was left sitting there- which by then was cold. (They use a buzzer system but didn’t bother buzzing it)
It’s clear they have no respect for customers time and experience, and just happy to take our money and profit off of an...
Read moreBeautiful and cute road-side patio + cafe/restaurant by Sauble Beach area (indoor dining available too) with beautiful smoothie bowls + open face toasts. I highly recommend for holistic, healthy breakfast/brunch options, open til 3pm daily! My friend and I got the berry smoothie bowl + the smoked salmon toast with a side of salad, the matcha latte and pink latte (iced). Food was fantastic and well-portioned. The flavoured/specialty lattes were just ok, I might skip -- they look better than they taste which is a little disappointing for $8. The matcha latte was pretty watered down and I couldn't really taste the matcha and the pink latte (made with beet) was also somewhat watery. Flavours for the drinks could be stronger, but otherwise, very pretty and aesthetically pleasing. I would come back again, but probably for food only. They are also open for lunch + they do takeout options as well. It would be 5/5 if they improve the potency of their drinks -- as a tip: maybe the staff can get their ratios of water/milk better when making flavoured lattes so the flavour is stronger, the goal is more balanced and...
