So today I was at the mall with my dad and wife. After a busy day of holiday shopping we decided to get in the line at purdy's for some ice cream. We got in the line at 550pm (mall closes at 6pm) and thought ok we made it let's wait in line. So first of all there's probably 5 people ahead of us and we have been waiting for 8 minutes now. Service was really slow! A blonde manager just comes out of no where and says "ok we are cutting the like now everybody please leave". Very rude, and no effort was made by her to speed up the line or apologize for this. Seems like all she cared about was closing the store and leaving. There was one person working the register and probably 4 employees in total walking around (yeah some stocking things) but instead of jumping on the register herself and helping to clear the like quick this manager just decides to send everyone on their way. We were the 2nd last people in line and instead of arguing with her in front of all these people I didn't bother. A good manager would try their best to make their customers happy. Instead of cutting the line right there and then, she should have cut the line well in advance as she knew there was a big rush due to all of the holiday shopping. What a waste of time. time. Read moreFed up with how deceptive Purdy’s is. No price list for ice cream anywhere. The associate, Tristian offered up-charge options (type of cone, toppings) without disclosing the extra costs. I had the foresight to ask if the fancy cones was more and declined when he said yes. They used to do one free topping last time I bought an ice cream cone from Purdy’s. When he asked me what topping I wanted I was working from that assumption. Then he rings it up and the cost was $6 for 1 scoop that was pathetically small. I see that he charged me a dollar for an extra topping. The receipt even reads like that: “extra” topping. I told him I thought it was free but I wasn’t going to fight it. Tristian was completely apathetic — just another dispassionate worker who couldn’t care less about the customer — let alone be a honest person who tells people when something is an extra charge and what the charge may be. Read moreWas hear last week to shop for our Christmas gifts. The store was very busy as expected. We got our chocolates and we got to the cashier the person in charge unfortunately the most pleasant. Not a good fit for a store that sells chocolates. She asked us if we wanted one of the boxes to be wrapped, my wife answered one thing and I asked another question. She wasn’t to happy about it and she sarcastically just repeated herself and asked us “So do you want THIS WRAPPED?” In addition to this, she wasn’t the most careful when she counted those little Santa chocolates on stick. I approached the manager after and told her that we weren’t pleased of our visit. I wasn’t too happy with the response of the manager who said that the cashier has always been pleasant.
