Togo Sushi — Restaurant in Surrey

this is by far ..... the WORST sushi i have tasted in my life, this is the mcdonalds of sushi or wait sorry mcdonalds is better then this crap, i ordered assorted tempura some alaska roll and and a few other rolls which came to 38 bucks which is fine but compare to the fancy sushi restaurant joints they give u KIDS MEAL portion here not to mention that its less and they charge more then the big sushi joints which give more and charge less, but thats not even the worst ........ i could taste the sogginess of the batter in the tempura and the rice in the sushi is also soggy? and there sashimi wasnt even cold . EWWW not to mention they used cheap seaweed from god knows where that its so chewing you cant seem to grind your teeth through it, i went there one time and swore on my life i will never spend money on so called sushi like that again, bottom line is if your starving and thinking of sushi, your gonna have a better time with a mcchicken -_- SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR REAL...

I used to love coming to this restaurant when I was younger, so I was excited to come back today. Unfortunately, the experience left me very disappointed. The woman at the front who takes orders and payments was extremely rude, dismissive, and rushed. When I asked simple questions about the sushi rolls, she made me feel belittled, as if I was bothering her or stupid for asking. Initially she failed to explain what the rolls contained, which resulted in me receiving something I didn’t want and then having to pay an additional $5 for something else just to feel safe eating.

To be clear, the cook did an excellent job, the food itself was well prepared and enjoyable. But the customer service I experienced at the front completely overshadowed that. Being treated with such disrespect not only made me uncomfortable, but also took away from what used to be a restaurant I associated with...

Rude waitress ruined the experience.

Fried had shellfish allergy so we informed the waitress to place the prawn nigiri on a separate plate. She gave us attitude and straight up just told us to "just get something else" and walked away.

And then we asked for ONE extra piece of napkin. She came back with the napkin and literally threw it on the table and walked away with a snarky face.

Unreal experience that might have affected my experience of the food negatively... to which I say food is overpriced, quality of ingredients feel cheap, portion sizes are below average.

On the positive, food did come out fast.

Would not recommend this place based on this experience and mostly due to the fact that there are plenty of other better sushi places in the mall or around the...
