WOW, YOU'GOTTA EAT HERE!
I recommend the following: Although, anything on the menu will be amazing.
355ml cane sugar gingerale (boulanger bottling co) was so good.
Dodi Pie
8Mile Cheese Blend, Spicy Soppressata, Caramelized Onions, and Mushrooms. Garnished with a Creamy Garlic Drizzle. $23.00
Detroit Red Top Pie
Our pepperoni pizza with the addition of Garlic Oil! 8Mile Cheese Blend, Ezzo Pepperoni and Garlic Oil. Garnished with our Signature Red Sauce, freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano and Herbs. $21.00
If you're in the area and are craving phenomenal pizza, this is it. Anyone who follows me or reads my reviews, you know I am a die-hard pizza fan. This is a special and unique pizza.
The dough is airy and light. Toppings and the sauce hit different. Cheese is nothing special.
PROS: Amazing flavors. Customizable. Amazing dipping sauce (actual garlic). Rich and zesty tomato sauce. Peperoni is so good. You can have different types of pizza (half/half) for $3 to try different toppings.
CONS: Portion size is small. The price is a bit much. No parking, street parking for quick pickup possible. Only square sizes. Limited space to dine in (tight space), few high chairs available.
I highly recommend this establishment, and I will...
Read moreHave been looking forward to visiting this place for a while now as my wife and I are both huge fans of Detroit style pizza(we went to the original Buddy’s last year which was 10/10!).
Visited 8 Mile after a matinee feature at Varsity and arrived to an empty restaurant/kitchen area. After a minute a girl came to the counter to take our order without saying anything or looking at us. She just stood there with a vacant gaze, it was fairly odd. We decided on the veggie supreme and waited on the patio for it.
My wife ended up going inside to get it after a wait and it was waiting for us on the counter. The dough had a nice texture but not much flavour. Cheese was really good as well as the toppings. The sauce tasted like it was poured straight from a can that had been sitting open in a fridge for a couple days. Very metallic and unpleasant.
Overall it wasn’t very good but enough to fill our bellies after a movie I guess. Price was a tad high but I wouldn’t question that if the pizza was excellent like I had heard. Washrooms downstairs were pretty gross and I wish I would’ve known before I ordered. Don’t plan on visiting again, if you want a truly good Detroit style pizza Descendant on Queen east is the...

Lately, Detroit style deep dish pizzas have been gaining interests across the city and this branch of 8Mile is one of them that serves it.
As always, you got to try the Magherita pizza first if you’re having the pizzas for the very first time. We were not disappointed at all with the Magherita pizza, which had a good crunch of the cheese in the dough and tangy sauce that was not sweet.
As for the truffle pizza, it may have not been my favourite due to the cream cheese on top but I’m sure it will be appreciated by those who love cream cheese.
My one and only concern about here is the price. We paid $55 inclusive of taxes for the 2 pizzas we ordered to be shared amongst 3 people, yet they weren’t exactly filling for 3 men. I know Detroit style pizzas are usually priced higher than other pizzas in the market but for more than $20/pizza with just 4 thick slices, the prices seem a bit too steep for a regular patronage. Therefore, my actual rating would be a 3.5/5, otherwise it could’ve been higher.
Nevertheless, the staff working here were friendly. Despite the non-stop delivery orders that they were getting, they were still attentive to us and even offered us tap water...
