We have ordered here many times on Ubereats and it usually is nice when we have ordered idly sambhar. Thinking of this place as a nice place we thought we would go and eat. Unfortunately the chicken tikka masala roti was nothing but just a taste of canned tomatoes in the gravy. We requested the guy at the counter to kindly change the dish or maybe make it alright but his response was, "I respect your opinion but this is made in bulk from the back end production team and it comes like this. We haven't made the gravy here." This raises a few questions: 1) where is the gravy coming from if it is not made here? 2) if they are only putting chicken, salt, and masalas, what is being made here? 3) If the gravy is tasting of canned tomatoes and nothing else, then why not take the feedback? Why is our feedback considered as an opinion? Here's a few facts to get right: You aren't the only Indian restaurant in the vicinity Also, if your gravy comes in from some back end bulk production, it is a questionable source and of course we wonder what else goes into it. The guy at the counter was helpful though to help us exchange the dish with something else. So we threw the chicken in their own trash can. If the restaurant management has an issue with what we have written here, check with your guy on the counter for telling us what he said. This happened now, that is 9:45 pm, 31st August, 2024.

Tucked away like a hidden gem, this place delivers seriously satisfying roti and curry combos. The roti is soft and fresh, the curries are rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. Portion sizes hit that sweet spot between indulgent and just right. If you’re chasing bold, soulful bites, this spot definitely deserves a spot on your food map

Vegetarians please be very careful, they gave chicken in my Sag Paneer Roti when they were clearly given instructions to make the vegetarian separate. I am pure vegetarian and chicken piece came from inside the roti. It is not acceptable at all to the people who are religious as we put our trust into restaurant that the food they prepare at the back is safe hygienic and veg and non veg are prepared separately. From, this day I will be making aware to each of our friends and family to not visit this place at all. Also, this is not about money. We don’t need a refund. Also, if you see the lowest reviews you will find some other people mention the same. I will make aware to the whole Toronto community and Indians In Toronto group members about this negligence that they did with my food. It is unacceptable. Being a vegetarian I would not be able to eat anything at any restaurant that serves anything non vegetarian. This has broke me and I can’t state how devastated I am feeling right now after finding that piece of chicken from saag paneer roti. I am literally crying writing this review. I hate Indian Roti House “I HATE IT”. These guys broke my religion today. I will also be filing a complaint with Canadian food Inspection Agency and with Canadian Institute of food safety. I am also attaching the food receipt and picture of saag paneer for everyone to review.

1st visit: Came with Uber Eats promo (eats-uber567uber) from Reddit UberEatsReferrals subreddit. Great experience!

3rd visit: Came with 3 colleagues. I had the kadai chicken roti. Consistency of the sauce was similar to butter chicken roti, but this one had green/red peppers in it. Chicken was diced/cubed chicken which I don't like, I would rather have natural chicken chunks. Flavour was musky, spicy, and sharp harsh masala flavour. It's not a balanced meal, it's just overwhelmingly spicy. No real other notes. This kadai chicken is not for me, and I actually like the My Roti Place more. My colleague had the madras masala chicken roti - he said this one was good. Nice coconut flavours, get that next time. But this location definitely is very harsh and 1 dimensional in flavours (same with the lamb biryani my 1st time - just 1 flavour, not very complex).

2nd visit: Came with a colleague. I had the butter chicken roti. Served in an aluminum tray. My colleague had the paneer tikka dosa (this came with coconut chutney and sambar, and extra is $1 and $2 respectively). All dosas are vegetarian here, I wish they had some meat ones. We both tried each others. He said my butter chicken roti tasted very authentic, I liked the paneer butter dosa too. The butter chicken roti orange sauce is a well balanced flavour - not too overwhelming, I can taste all the complexities. Comparing to the Hyderabadi butter chicken (red sauce) which was overwhelmingly musky (which I also like) but tasted too much of musk and tomatos and not other flavours. Good contrast, depends on my mood. The paneer butter dosa is great because the paneer is crushed and spread out evenly across the entire dosa (like a quesadilla), so not just chunks in the middle. Great! I also like the art on the wall, A/C, adequate seating, and music in this place. Fun times.

1st visit: Came for lamb biryani (I love goat biryani at the place near D's house) so I wanted to come try some lamb biryani. Spiceness: I got mild, and it tasted delicious. I can try to get spicier next time (medium, then maybe hot). The lamb biryani is more tender, juicier, less gamey. I like both, for their own unique flavours. This lamb biryani is fresh, complex in flavour, delicous spices and textures. Amazing. It came with raita (cucumber yogurt), which was also great. It added further complexity to the flavour variety. I drizzled it on top of the biryani for the cucumber yogurt cooling effect on the spices.

Will be coming back.

Future: Try mango chicken curry roti, madras masala chicken roti, and various other Indian dishes (I want to try some...

I am thrilled to share my five-star experience at Indian Roti House in Toronto. The delectable flavors and irresistible taste of their butter chicken roti have kept me coming back for more, making it an absolute must-visit for any food lover.

Let's start with the star of the show, the butter chicken roti. This culinary masterpiece is a symphony of flavors. The tender, succulent pieces of chicken are generously coated in a rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced butter chicken sauce. The roti itself is soft and fluffy, serving as the perfect vessel to savor every bite. Each mouthful is a burst of deliciousness that keeps me craving more. It's safe to say that the butter chicken roti at Indian Roti House is a true culinary delight.

Aside from the incredible taste, Indian Roti House offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The warm and welcoming ambiance, combined with the aromatic spices wafting through the air, creates an authentic dining experience. Whether you choose to dine in or take your roti to go, the friendly staff ensures a pleasant and satisfying visit.

In addition to the mouthwatering butter chicken roti, Indian Roti House offers a diverse menu of Indian specialties. From flavorful curries to aromatic biryanis and tantalizing appetizers, there is something to please every palate. The quality and consistency of their food are always top-notch, further adding to the overall dining experience.

It's safe to say that Indian Roti House has become my go-to spot for satisfying my craving for the best butter chicken roti in town. The combination of exceptional taste, friendly service, and inviting ambiance has won me over as a...

Indian Roti House by far has remained one of the restaurants delivering consistent food taste over the years.

They are INDIAN ROTI HOUSE - so just maybe focus on their speciality.

We usually only and only go to Indian Roti House if in and around downtown.

The saag paneer roti is great and so is their butter chicken roti.

The standout this time for us was the kadai paneer roti with such yummy creamy gravy packed with spices and taste. The spice level is managed according to what we like.

Yday was super busy I am assuming because of some event in downtown and the food took some time. But honestly 15 mins is usual wait time for food everywhere.

They have now started the line of dosas which I have not tried as I try to stick to their best options on the menu. Have not tried the desserts as they never looked very appealing or fresh to me.

The only downside to this place is the bad maintenance of the eating area. Even after this place having so so much business, the owner has not upgraded this place over the last 3 years I have been coming here. Barely any seating space and it's too hot as there is no air conditioning inside. We dined in yday and it did get super hot with the super hot food.

But we either usually take out the food or go by the Harbourfront and eat. It has not yet deterred us from not going back to this place for 3years.

Definitely try the Saag Paneer Roti, Butter chicken roti and kadai...
