After a long day of walking, Iruka Sushi had delicious food that hit the spot. Small restaurant unit, but the food was delicious and filling! Our group ordered the Salmon Lover Roll (Iruka Signature Maki Roll), Take Sushi (Sushi Dinner), Small Sushi & Maki Tray (40 pcs) and a side of the Assorted Vegetable Tempura. As part of their Iruka Signature Maki Roll series, the Salmon Lover Roll had eight massive pieces that were very filling. Their Tempura had slightly flavoured batter with garnish; the tempura sauce was delicious! The sushi and maki were very fresh and well presented. The staff were friendly and checked up on our table. Great vibes! The restaurant accepts cash and credit card as payment. Also, there are two bathrooms as well.

Two items ordered during this visit. The first was the Iruka Udon (UD01), described as "Japanese thick noodle in a broth with vegetables". As shown in the attached photo, the dish contained limited variety and quantity of vegetables. The second item was the Salmon Lover Combo (DC01), which included a Salmon Lover roll, 3 pieces of salmon sushi, and 4 pieces of salmon sashimi. Unfortunately, my companion was unable to finish this combo due to the concerns regarding the fish quality and preparation. I can only assume that the positive reviews are primarily from tourists, given this restaurant's location in a highly popular tourist area.

This place hits the spot if you want sushi, but I would say that they do cut their fish pieces for sashimi and sushi to be smaller than average places. I ordered a tray and the pieces were tiny. Some pieces were thick, but still too tiny for an actual piece. The 2 pieces of salmon basically make up a normal piece of salmon, not to mention how short these pieces are. The pieces used to be bigger, is it inflation? If it is, please just up the price and bring the bigger pieces back. And would also love the lunch special to be offered on a weekend too, and can also up the price.

I've been to this restaurant since it first opened a few years ago. My experiences have always been positive and the food is great! I've eaten in and also ordered takeout. Make sure you bring cash with you as it is 10% off. Sushi Pizza - I've tried the salmon, the tuna & salmon, and the unagi. All 3 sushi pizzas are amazing. You can't go wrong with sushi pizza to share as an appetizer! Salmon Lover Combo (lunch) - My go-to if I am craving fresh raw salmon and I am hungry. The meal is huge and I always feel pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Spicy Beef (lunch) - Quite salty so I don't think I will order this dish again. Chicken Teriyaki (dinner) - Not my favourite as there are other great options. Salmon Teriyaki with Sushi and Maki or with Tempura - The lunch bento portion is perfect when I'm hungry and it tastes amazing. Salmon Teriyaki (dinner) - The dinner portion is almost double to salmon and the price is great! I can't finish the dinner portion by myself so it's great for sharing and also for leftovers! Spicy Bulgogi Dinner - I recommend this for those who want a spicy beef option. It's quite salty so I mix in the rice in the hot plate to balance the saltiness. Sashimi Dinner - The seafood and the sushi rice at this restaurant are amazing! Aburi Love Boat - This is for 2 people. Sometimes, if we don't feel like having the tray, we will order this and then add another meal. I highly recommend this. Spicy Yaki U-Don - This was decent. If you are craving for noodles, this might satisfy the craving for you. I found the dish slightly too salty. I've ordered the trays a few times for takeout and they've always been very generous and prompt. It comes of soup and salad. TIP: Use the residual salad dressing to mix the daikon radish garnish and the kale. It's amazing! Most people forget or ignore the garnishes but they are fresh and...

Honestly, I am very disappointed, was very good reviews, which now I can honestly assume it's all employees reviews. The food - we had the small Maki set, comes on a boat, not a single was from fresh fish, (we asked the waitress she said California Roll, Dynamite Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll etc. All very famous fresh fish rolls). We received ground up "fish/crab" which I bet came out of a can, everything was oily and deepfried, one set of rolls was oily sweet potato roll, shrimp was frozen and microwaved, very bland, greasy and texture-less. 35 Pieces, not a single fresh piece of fish to be seen - for the first time EVER we left sushi rolls behind as we almost puked and spat some of them out (we're not picky, it was honestly that bad). Service was friendly but doesn't know anything about the menu, she had to read the menu on our table for 2 minutes to find and point out what "Red Hood Roll" is, which is offered in half their dinner specials... After we felt so heavy, like coming back from a fast food joint.

Never again... If you want good, we LOVE Yutaka, same price but AMAZING food, but they were closed today due to a holiday...
