Situated on the bustling Queens Quay Road in Toronto, “Blomboon Restaurant & Bar” presents a consummate blend of ambiance, exquisite culinary creations, and commendable hospitality, making it a must-visit destination for epicureans and casual diners alike. My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Blomboon recently, and the experience was nothing short of remarkable. The establishment's décor is tastefully done, creating an inviting and warm atmosphere that complements the waterfront locale. This, combined with the mellow tunes that subtly permeate the background, sets a perfect stage for an enjoyable evening. The menu at Blomboon is a delightful revelation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. Although we only partook in the dinner, the array of dishes available throughout the day promises something special for every meal. The prices, remarkably modest for the exceptional quality provided, range from $10 to $30—a fair estimation that underscores the value of the dining experience here. Central to the Blomboon’s appeal is the chef and owner of this family business, We’ve been told, a figure both cordial and adept. His expertise in crafting memorable dishes is evident in every bite. From starters to desserts, each dish is imbued with a distinctive flair that speaks to the culinary prowess at play. The organic bear selection and an assortment of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are commendable too—each beverage, fresh and tastefully curated to complement the dishes.
The highlight of our visit was, without doubt, the culinary expertise displayed. The dishes not only tantalize the taste buds but also engage the senses in a gastronomic ballet of flavors and aromas. Each plate is a testament to the chef’s dedication to quality and his nuanced understanding of global and local cuisines.
In my opinion, Blomboon Restaurant and Bar is not just a place to eat; it is a destination to be experienced specially where you have the downtown of Toronto’s neighbourhood. It stands as a beacon of fine dining in Toronto, a testament to the art of culinary excellence. For anyone looking to indulge in a meal that is both alluring and satisfying, It is unequivocally the...
Read moreWe were looking for a place to eat after our trip to centre island and this spot happened to be right by where we parked (super convenient)
As soon as you walk in, you see books, plants and earth toned walls accompanied by calm, jazz vibe music which makes this place perfect to get some work done or have meetings.
We ordered the special salad and the cream of mushroom soup to start which were soo flavourful and light. I absolutely loved the salad and would definitely order it again.
We both ordered the salmon fillet, one with fries and one with mash. Everything was cooked to perfection however flavour fell a bit short. Our server and owner Al and Mory (not sure if I spelled your names right!) were kind enough to receive our feedback which we really appreciated.
They were very hospitable, checked in often and they are super down to earth.
My coffee was also delicious, I loved the brew. And Al makes THE BEST mojitos!!!
Looking forward to...
Read moreWent to Blomboon today for a quick lunch in between my time at the Toronto Music Garden, and I feel like I stumbled upon a hidden gem! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, with such a cozy vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. The servers were incredibly sweet and attentive, which really added to the experience.
I ordered the Sutte Wrap and hands down, it’s one of the best wraps I’ve had in Toronto so far. The beef was cooked to perfection, super flavorful and tender, and the wrap itself was juicy and packed with fresh ingredients. I also tried their Blomboon Special, and it was the perfect drink to offset the hot weather.
The prices are super reasonable for the quality of food, drinks, and the amazing atmosphere. It’s definitely a spot I’ll be...
