We reached at 6:30 and got a table around 6:50pm on a Sunday evening. The server took over 20 minutes to come and get our order. Extremely slow service with full occupancy ( scary in covid times ) luckily they check vaccination proofs and ID’s. They had lots of take away orders too. We ordered the Masala Dosa and Onion Dosa along with Alu Paratha. After waiting for 20 minutes we ordered papad and luckily that came within 7 minutes or so. Then finally the masala dosa came at 7:40pm and the onion Dosa at 7:50pm. I got fed up as my Alu Paratha had still not come and I was getting hungry and built up acidity. To help pass time and hunger I ordered a mango lassi, which thankfully came with in 5/7 minutes. The Dosa was crisp thick and tasty but also extremely oily. The chutney was fantastic and sambhar tasted like a North Indian dal. The masala filling was tasty. The onion Dosa was tasty but again extremely oily, to the extent if you break a piece your hands get coated with oil. The mango lassi was good but pricy at $5. My biggest disappointment was the Alu Paratha ( which in a North Indian restaurant should have been perfected ) the Paratha was a tandoori roti with a tiny bit of potatoes. One would really need to search for the flavour and taste of the potato filling. They got a replacement for the Alu Paratha and this time there was sufficient stuffing. All I can comment for little India restaurant is that they have the technique and know how for the cuisine, but maybe because of the rush or lack of staff or just plain incompetence they can not deliver a good plate of food. Over compensating with oil won’t make it faster to cook, it spoils the overall experience. The balance between spices and oil needs to be perfected to create a dish. In the Little India I found that lacking. The servers seemed to be overloaded and overwhelmed. Would not recommend anyone for South Indian food. And not would I return to...

The food was average! For the palak paneer curry, the paneer was separately added on the top of the gravy. We ordered two lunch veggie combos. Earlier when we ordered the 1st combo, we weren’t asked about our choices for the curry and appetizers from the available options. But when we ordered the second combo with a different server, she sweetly asked us about which curry we would like from the options!! Also one thing that deeply affected us was that Inspite of us being Indians visiting an Indian restaurant, we faced racism. As soon my friend and I entered the restaurant, a non Indian couple came at the same time and they ordered two lunch combos and the server sweetly took their order but when he came to us for the order and we ordered the lunch combos, he said “Our lunch combos are available till 3:00pm only but since I accepted the other(Non- Indian) couple’s order, I am going to accepts yours too!” I mean why did you take their order on the first place? And if you did, why didn’t you tell them that our lunch time is over? So he make me feel that, just because he already took order of other couple so now he will accept our order too. Like what, they placed the order at 3:28pm and we placed the order...

The food was ok-ok not authentic indian, the staff was rude especially their manager with specs. We had a reservation for my bday from 1 PM - 4PM on 22nd April 2023 (Saturday) and because of Toronto's traffic, we reached there at around 1:30 PM and the Manager said that all the seats are reserved, you may visit later on. Listening to this from a customer point of view, u can make an idea how I would have felt and later on, when I told him that we had a reservation from 1-4 for 7 people, he said but it's 1:30 PM, if you reserved it from 1-4, u are supposed to be here at 1 like what the....?? then I asked him if this is the way, you guys talk to your customers and he was like you guys are late, so you deserve this attitude. Like what the....? Very bad customer service and then he asked me to tip him like after whatever you did, how can you think that you deserve a tip?? We were already running out of time, that's why we settled there to have our lunch but that was the first and the last visit that me and my family made. I'll make sure none of my friends/known ones visit this place ever. 2 stars for the food and atmosphere, n 0 for the...

An unassuming front belies the care taken to create an authentic ambience that transports you to South Asia as soon as you step in. The attention to detail shows throughout - from the lighting fixtures over each table, to the toothpicks and mints bowl that are placed at the exit. The service was good as well. We went for dinner, and it was closing time by the time we finished dessert, but the kitchen was kind enough to put some masala chai on for us to wash it down. As for the food, this is, in my opinion, one of the best places in the downtown core to get authentic South Asian food. The menu features both North and South Indian cuisine. We got the meat platter for two - everything was grilled to perfection while still maintaining its tenderness. Their unique twist on butter chicken made it come across sweeter than I'm used to, but it was a refreshing change. A great place to indulge yourself for an hour or so while you lose yourself in the myriad tastes and textures of the subcontinent. I'll definitely be back!

This is my second time coming here and it was a GREAT experience! Price is very reasonable and portions are great. The flavours were awesome and the service was outstanding. The staff was very attentive, fast and never let our water cups go empty haha. Food was fresh and tasted great. My "go to" at Indian restaurants are the Lamb Vindaloo with Garlic/ Butter Naan and Aloo Paratha (basically a thin roti stuffed with potatoes and spices). This restaurant definitely did it well. I requested the Lamb Vindaloo to be extra spicy and I can assure you the chef DELIVEREDDD. The lamb was extremely tender and the curry itself was rich, spicy, and packed with flavour. We also ordered the Chicken Pakora, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Briyani which were also great. But the Extra Spicy Lamb Vindaloo was definitely irresistible. Truly saying, great food, great vibes, great staff. Will most definitely be comming back again. Thank you for a great experience!
