I used Six for both packing and moving. My experience heading into the move vs after where in stark contrast, and based on how they (Zara) handled things afterwards I cannot recommend them.
The packing was great, there were some invoice mistakes but they corrected once I flagged to them - definitely take a picture of the contract/inventory you sign! Their communication leading up to the move was also excellent - they were thorough and professional.
For the move, two of my three movers were excellent, but one was clearly inexperienced. It’s worth nothing their estimate clearly states “experienced movers (10+ years experience).” However when I shared my concerns, they said that “we hire based on attitude and train for talent” and that they only promise one of the movers to have that level of experience. In my opinion, if they want to use someone’s move as a training ground, they should be up front about it and offer a discount on all of that person’s hours. They should also be up front in their estimate, which implies all movers will have 10+ years experience, not only one of them.
I observed this man take 3min to tape a simple box, with the tape turning in on itself multiple times and him having to restart. I could have done it myself in less time, and an experienced mover could have done it in 10 seconds. One of the only things he unloaded on his own and brought up (a ladder) fell immediately after he placed it and left. I saw him wander into my unit, realize there was no one there to tell him what to do, then wait outside idle while waiting for the experienced movers to return.
My move took 50% longer than they estimated and cost that much more too - despite me FaceTiming them to show every single thing in my apartment including inside drawers/closets, and having everything professionally packed by them too ie. No surprises. I will acknowledge the unloading had an unexpectedly longer walk to the elevator which could explain up to ~20% of the overage, but I do believe it was the lack of experience of the third mover that caused loading to take so much longer too (ie. The remaining 30% overage). Given they took 1 hour longer than the 3 hr max estimated for loading, we were late for both elevator bookings and ran into the next person’s booking for the first one, which was definitely stressful.
I reached out about my concerns and had to follow up multiple times. They did make an effort to correct things, but I wasn’t quite satisfied with the 8% refund they offered given the 50% overage, 30% of which was unexplained by what they wrote. I asked a clarifying question (very nicely, might I add) about why loading took so much longer than estimated, and they ghosted me. It’s been 2.5 weeks since that question, and I’ve even followed up and still no response - in comparison leading up to the move they’d respond within hours, 7 days a week. I have not received even the 8% partial refund either. I really tried to wait and give them a chance to correct things, but given the circumstances I feel obligated to post my honest review.
Update: they have in fact chosen to ghost me and never respond, and also never give the refund offered. It’s been weeks and multiple follow ups - I have to say this is extremely unprofessional and to be honest unexpected. You’ll notice I’m the only review they haven’t responded to because I have been completely honest and accurate about my experience and their responses (or lack thereof).
Update 2: I am very disappointed that after me following up 3 times over 2.5 weeks and only after posting this review, I was told the 8% refund offered is no longer available unless I take down this review. Best price I found after searching online, so I was skeptical at first...
Movers showed up: right on time. When they started, I was relieved, but by the end of the day, I was blown away.
Both relocation specialists were extremely professional and efficient, not to mention very knowledgeable and personable. I was so impressed with how quickly they wrapped and loaded everything, but even more incredible was how much effort and hard work these guys put into hauling all my stuff up a flight of stairs like it was nothing, pretty incredible. Jay and Damian provided exceptional & friendly service with the utmost care, expertise and dedication. All around made my moving day 100x easier than it could have been.
Honestly, Six Moving was the best decision I made since deciding on my new place. Thanks for everything: I will be reaching out for my next move!
UPDATE, June 2025: Used Six Moving again for another move—just as solid as last time.
This round, I had Riz and Rino on the job. Both were professional, efficient, and easy to work with. A few hours in, Riz mentioned one of the other crews had wrapped up early and offered to bring in an extra set of hands (Rudy) to help finish up quicker. He broke down how much smoother things go with three vs. two guys—made sense, and the extra charge was worth every dollar.
With all three of them on deck, the rest of the move flew by. They handled everything with care, not just my stuff but the buildings too. Super respectful of the spaces, no issues, no drama.

FOR ADMINISTRATION:
A very smooth and confidence inducing experience booking with them - everyone else involved was attentive and patient with my queries. On point assessment of the amount of stuff that needed to be moved and the amount of time it would take. Timely e-mails and communication. I had upfront asked for a 12-noon arrival of the movers, but the team very professionally advised that I need not start that early and suggested we start 30 minutes late. This worked perfectly. Lot of empathy! My plants were important to me and the team gave me confidence that they will do their best moving them. Most moving companies brush this off - I went with Six Moving because of their high empathy and customer service right from day one.
FOR THE MOVERS:
They were timely, professional, polite and efficient! All my furniture was wrapped and delivered perfectly - absolutely no damages. I did not have to keep track of every last box - they took stock of everything allowing me to focus on other tasks that I had on hand. This team work allowed us to adhere to the booked elevator timings at both buildings. The building I was moving out of did not have the best security & management team - there were delays in handing over the elevator, opening of doors etc. But the movers were patient and worked with me until I resolved the issue with the management.
