What an awesome night at Black Pearl! This new spot is great for live music, good food, and awesome drinks! I tried the black pearl sour (my personal favourite and went back for more) and the old fashioned. I tasted sips of some of the other drinks from my friends and they were all super unique! For food I was pleasantly surprised! The pizza was FIRE! (Didn’t expect that to be that good!) The cheeseburger sliders tasted like little big macs so I was a fan! The chicken fingers were sooooo good (can’t remember the last time i had a chicken finger but loved it!) and the fries with the malt mayo should not be slept on. I could write an essay on how good that mayo was!! The fried chicken sliders were my least favourite but only because I’m not super into smokey things. But if you’re a smokey chicken fan, you’ll love it! The twinkies for dessert were very cute too. I’ll definitely be back here because the 70s live band was SO FUN! and now knowing they also have ballerinas and fire dancers??? Sold. Had so much fun here so I’d recommend you see...
Read moreWe paid for a ticketed event for an amazing band. Noone checked for tickets at the door. Other people commented on that as well. We found some bench seating near the stage. Only area left to see band. We were eventually told that we would have to move as these were reserved seating. I couldn't believe it, as other tables were completely empty at the time. I asked to speak to General Manager. She was useless and not very helpful. I then overheard her tell couple next to us that they could stay?? I was furious! We spent quite a bit of money on drinks already by this time. We were dressed decent, spending money, so not sure why we were treated this way?? I am sure band will discover how much financial loss they incurred at an establishment that caters to club goers than those who want to listen to their music and pay to hear them! Terrible business practices....
Read moreCame here twice and had great experiences both times.
The servers were super nice and attentive (one night was quiet and the other was super busy, so I’ve seen both spectrums). Their food is solid and priced well, and they don’t have a lot of drink options but it’s pretty reasonably priced for downtown.
They always have live bands and they’re usually pretty interactive which I love! Was here on Saturday and I guess it turns kind of into a club where you can get bottle service and there’s a $10 cover after 10pm and the dj comes out. The dj plays a mix of basically everything, so there’s something for everyone (country, r&b, rap, reggaeton, etc.) and there’s also a good mix of different people and ages which I think is really cool. Hard to find a place that isn’t a bunch of...
