McDonald’s, tucked inside the entrance of Walmart, has redefined ‘fast food’ — by removing the ‘fast.’ I recently ordered two McChickens and a large Coke through Uber Eats, and it somehow took thirty minutes to arrive. Thirty minutes. That’s enough time to roast a chicken at home. I can only imagine the kitchen labor: hand-shredded lettuce, buns toasted like delicate brioche, and chicken treated like it came from a five-star farm.
The large Coke, normally the easiest part of the order, was poured with the ceremony of a fine wine — yet tasted exactly like every other fountain Coke ever.
I know this sounds absurd, but that’s exactly how absurd the experience was. Anyone willing to walk into Walmart could get their meal in minutes. Delivery, however, turns two sandwiches and a soda into a drawn-out, Kafkaesque exercise in patience.
This McDonald’s turns the ordinary into the absurd. Two McChickens and a Coke, delivered thirty minutes late, become a theatrical test of patience, a meditation on inefficiency, and a slow-motion performance art piece about modern life — all while tasting exactly the same as they would if you’d picked them up yourself. Fast food has never felt so...

Review for McDonald's at 1900 Ellington Avenue East, Toronto
I had an absolutely horrendous experience with the delivery service from this McDonald's location. I placed an order, and not only did they get it completely wrong, but they also charged me for items I never received. This is outright theft!
When I called to resolve the issue, the staff was shockingly rude and dismissive. They blatantly refused to acknowledge their mistake or offer any compensation. Instead, they acted like I was lying and gave me the runaround. It was clear they had no interest in providing any kind of customer service.
This level of incompetence and disrespect is inexcusable. Paying for a meal and not getting what you ordered is bad enough, but being treated like garbage by the staff is infuriating.
Management needs to seriously overhaul their staff and policies if they want to retain any...
