I loved my experience at Mofer Coffee on Wellington—so much so that I went back for a second coffee later the same day! Everything about this cafĂ© hits the mark. The service was warm and friendly, and the staff clearly know their craft. My coffee was made perfectly both times—rich, smooth, and well-balanced. Whether you prefer dairy or non-dairy options, the menu has a great selection of milk alternatives, which is always a plus. The space itself is clean, inviting, and relaxed, making it an ideal spot to catch up with a friend, get some work done, or just enjoy a solo coffee break. It’s clear they take pride in both their coffee and their environment. I also tried one of their food items and it was fresh and flavorful—definitely a step above your average cafĂ© fare. The only miss for me was the smoothie; it wasn’t bad, just underwhelming compared to how amazing everything else was. I’d recommend skipping that and sticking with their strengths: coffee and baked goods. All in all, this is exactly the kind of local gem you want in your rotation. I’ll absolutely be back (again and again)!

Love this coffee shop featuring smooth Ethiopian coffee. It’s really delicious with oat milk. They also serve pastries (one or two vegan options), smoothies and different kinds of lattes with benefits (like ones made with turmeric or beet powder and even blue butterfly pea powder which I tried another time and it was nice with coconut milk). With soulful music playing in the background, it’s a quiet clean space to meet with someone or spend some time solo to work, read, write or just chill. In a commercial area of the city it’s hard find a place that is its own and authentic to a culture the way they are, displaying artwork and their own coffee. Another plus being that the people working there are always kind and welcoming.

Excellent location for a coffee shop, between Front St and the Entertainment District, it’s a perfect and convenient place to grab and go or stay and people watch. They have various pastries and quick snack offers to go with coffee or non coffee beverage. I tried the hibiscus cold drink on a hot day and it was refreshing except that it wasn’t mixed well so all the sugar was at the bottom and the drink became way too sweet the last third of the glass. Interiors are quite nice, it has an African theme done in a modern and relaxed way. Perfect cafe to spend a bit of time enjoying a drink, a pastry, in a clean and comfortable place.

I have been coming to this coffee shop for several months now every weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. The coffee, service and ambience are all amazing. All the coffee is sourced from Ethiopia - the birthplace of coffee, and there is often soft Ethiopian traditional music playing which lends to a unique and relaxing ambience to enjoy my coffee and read before starting work. They also sell coffee beans to take home and they can even grind them for you on site. I would highly recommend trying the Ethiopian butter coffee - an Americano with butter spiced with Ethiopian spices melted into it - just be sure to ask for a double shot. It's a coffee experience like no other and absolutely delicious. Japi and Ariam who work on the weekends always provide the best customer service and are always courteous and friendly. They both deserve a raise and a promotion, especially Japi who consistently goes above and beyond and impressively manages the cafe extremely well independently during the Saturday...

I was excited to visit this coffee shop, perfectly located on a vibrant corner in downtown Toronto, but my experience was utterly ruined by the staff and the appalling state of the place. The atmosphere, which could have been charming, was completely destroyed by the staff’s cold and outright hostile attitudes. Their rudeness left me in a sour mood, overshadowing any potential enjoyment of the coffee. The shop itself was a mess, napkins littered the floor, tables were sticky with spilled coffee or milk, and it’s clear no one bothers to maintain basic cleanliness. The bathroom was an absolute disaster, covered in graffiti with toilet paper scattered everywhere, showing a complete lack of care or hygiene. This place is a letdown and not worth your time or money. Save yourself the frustration and go...
