I loved my experience at Mofer Coffee on Wellingtonâso much so that I went back for a second coffee later the same day!
Everything about this cafĂ© hits the mark. The service was warm and friendly, and the staff clearly know their craft. My coffee was made perfectly both timesârich, smooth, and well-balanced. Whether you prefer dairy or non-dairy options, the menu has a great selection of milk alternatives, which is always a plus.
The space itself is clean, inviting, and relaxed, making it an ideal spot to catch up with a friend, get some work done, or just enjoy a solo coffee break. Itâs clear they take pride in both their coffee and their environment.
I also tried one of their food items and it was fresh and flavorfulâdefinitely a step above your average cafĂ© fare. The only miss for me was the smoothie; it wasnât bad, just underwhelming compared to how amazing everything else was. Iâd recommend skipping that and sticking with their strengths: coffee and baked goods.
All in all, this is exactly the kind of local gem you want in your rotation. Iâll absolutely be back...
Read moreI have been coming to this coffee shop for several months now every weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. The coffee, service and ambience are all amazing. All the coffee is sourced from Ethiopia - the birthplace of coffee, and there is often soft Ethiopian traditional music playing which lends to a unique and relaxing ambience to enjoy my coffee and read before starting work. They also sell coffee beans to take home and they can even grind them for you on site. I would highly recommend trying the Ethiopian butter coffee - an Americano with butter spiced with Ethiopian spices melted into it - just be sure to ask for a double shot. It's a coffee experience like no other and absolutely delicious. Japi and Ariam who work on the weekends always provide the best customer service and are always courteous and friendly. They both deserve a raise and a promotion, especially Japi who consistently goes above and beyond and impressively manages the cafe extremely well independently during the Saturday...
Read moreI was excited to visit this coffee shop, perfectly located on a vibrant corner in downtown Toronto, but my experience was utterly ruined by the staff and the appalling state of the place. The atmosphere, which could have been charming, was completely destroyed by the staffâs cold and outright hostile attitudes. Their rudeness left me in a sour mood, overshadowing any potential enjoyment of the coffee. The shop itself was a mess, napkins littered the floor, tables were sticky with spilled coffee or milk, and itâs clear no one bothers to maintain basic cleanliness. The bathroom was an absolute disaster, covered in graffiti with toilet paper scattered everywhere, showing a complete lack of care or hygiene. This place is a letdown and not worth your time or money. Save yourself the frustration and go...
