Mr. Greek — Restaurant in Toronto

This restaurant observes no sanitary protocols. We were charged $52 for 2 souvlaki chicken meals, which is very pricey in and of itself. As we were waiting for the food, we observed a cook loafing around in the kitchen, and he packed an order of fries with his BARE hands. Furthermore, he ate a fry that was left over after packing these fries with his bare hands.

The cashier, who was also handling the salads and packing the orders, used only one glove while handling all ingredients for the salad. That is food contamination. No tongs were used. When the cashier was preparing to add onions to this salad, they broke the onion slices in half using both hands. Note, I said they only had one glove on. As such, the other hand that was used to handle cash and touch the register was not washed and was handling food products.

Lastly, the cashier was telling the cook, about a DIFFERENT order, that was being prepared, that if the customer complained, it was the cook's fault. The food looked undercooked. If this restaurant is willing to observe such poor sanitary practices with a customer waiting IN the store, what would they be doing to food for customers that ordered delivery while no one was in the store?

We observed employees leaving and entering the kitchen multiple times with not one employee washing their hands. Excuse me?

We immediately asked for a refund after all this. Refund was given in cash and not back to the original form of payment, which was credit card.

All in all, I do NOT recommend ordering, or even setting foot in this place until the owner decides to do something about the employees observing 0...

I was one of the guests that came with Matt Reis and I cannot believe the terrible service and attitude we received. The waitress was absolutely miserable and incredibly rude when we simply asked how long the wait was going to be. The waitress had to come back and ask us multiple times what we ordered because she forgot despite writing it down. Finally notified us that she JUST put our order in after we had already been waiting for ages. The most annoying part about waiting is not knowing how long you'll be waiting. If they would have notified us upon arrival that they were short staffed (even though they clearly weren't because four other servers appeared from the shadows as we were leaving) then we would've been more understanding or gone somewhere else instead of wasting our time. Upon leaving after receiving the worst service I've ever seen and the longest wait being that it was only us in the restaurant and one other table, instead of trying to correct their mistakes or own up to them, they decided to yell at us and argue on the side of the road, telling us to never come back. The proper way to deal with the situation would be to have someone apologize for the terrible service and offer some sort of solution. Not to further escalate the situation the way they did. A simple apology and attempt at bettering the experience goes a long way.

Please train these workers on how to handle...

I'm a regular customer at the Mr. Greek location at 333 Bremner Blvd in Toronto, and I can confidently say it's always an absolutely stellar experience from start to finish!

The food, simply put, is incredible. I often get the traditional gyro (beef / lamb). The rice and sauce were delicious. Every bite was a delightful explosion of authentic Greek flavours. Also had food from this location for a party and all the kids (aged 3 to 15) and adults loved the food!

Beyond the fantastic food, the service was truly great.

The restaurant itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable setting perfect for a casual lunch indoors or outdoors. The location at Bremner is also super convenient, especially if you're attending an event nearby or just exploring the downtown core. Definitely worth a visit if you're just about anywhere downtown.

I know Mr. Greek is a chain and they're all pretty good but this 333 Bremner location has truly mastered the art of Greek cuisine and hospitality and really stands out. If you're looking for an authentic, delicious, and thoroughly enjoyable dining experience in Toronto, look no further. This place is a must-try and I wholeheartedly give it my highest recommendation. I'm already looking forward to...
