Liberty Shawarma — Restaurant in Toronto

I would give it 0 stars if I could. This place is absolutely horrible. Not only has the food become inedible and the service pathetically horrible, but these guys need a lesson in business 101 before they go out of business. Or maybe it would be best if we rid our community of this establishment. I used to go all the time when the food was decent (never great, but convenient based on my location) and the service was friendly and good. Now-a-days the service has become rude and intolerable, the food really bad (my chicken was so bad a previous visit I had to throw it out) and portions are literally half the size now. During my last visit I actually asked for my money back and left empty handed. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

I called Liberty Shawarma to address my concerns to a manager and of course their business etiquette was about as bad as it can get.

Hahaha - this is how these guys conduct business. What a joke this establishment is. Now I hope they go out of business. And they will soon if they treat other customers the way...

After the first visit I wanted to leave a 5 star review but because of all the other reviews I decided to wait for the second time. The first take away was served by a lady - the food was rich, fresh and super delicious. The meat was tasty - some tahini salad was in the chicken shawarma box and it was overall a very good meal. Second time - same order - sadly a pure disappointment. The bag was already was lighter than the first time. Meat was horrible (it was that kind of meat that you get if you are the first customer since an hour and the meat was way too long circling around ) it was super hard, and some pieces were even black ish. Some ingredients were missing compared to the first time. No shawarma sauce on the meat at all. Everything under the meat was just chaos and didn’t taste very good … again it was not a busy day so I have gotten what was being there for hours. I was served by a guy this time. Not sure if that makes the important difference. I am sadly disappointed and won’t come back :(

Definitely would not recommend going here. One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. I went to order a Shawarma and needed to wait outside due to Covid. There were not many customers inside but it took them so long to deal with a handful of people even though there were three people working. When I finally got inside, I made my order and the woman at the cash asked me if I wanted to make it a combo. I said no but I did want a side of fries. She rolled her eyes at me and mumbled something under her breath. So I asked her if everything was OK. And she said that I should have taken her advice and gone with the combo. I told her I did not want the drink. She told me it would’ve been cheaper, So I changed my mind and asked for the combo instead. She replies with no and gave me a bunch of attitude about how I should have listened to her in the first place. She was so unbelievably rude about it, so I cancelled my order and left.
