NTS: Roti is made from wheat flour (atta), Dosa is made from rice. Roti tastes like a pita, Dosa has a unique pancake-like taste. "Eating dosa will make you hungry faster compared to roti. Nutrition wise dosa is better than roti since the batter is a combination of rice, urad dal (mung bean) and fenugreek seeds. Roti is just wheat flour and water." Rotis here come with a small gulab jamun dessert, meanwhile Dosas don't.

2nd visit: Came with a colleague (IM), 10 minutes before the lunch time rush, and got seats so we could dine in. Had a chicken tikka (spiced chicken, boneless) dosa (chicken, onions, peppers, spices). Thin crispy dosa, consumed very fresh as a dine-in order. Came with tomato+onion sauce (spicy chutney), coconut sauce (coconut chutney), and a coriander type soup (called sambar - pigeon pea lentils, tamarind and a unique spice blend called sambar powder). Lifted the folded round dosa up to form a pyramid like shape, then broke up pieces of the thin crispy dosa (pancake) to scoop up the chicken and dipped it into the various 2 sauces and soup. Started by dipping my dosa into the sauces 1 at a time, then started combining them 2s and 2s then all 3. Cool flavour combinations. Then finished with drinking the soup at the end. Was very authentic, and delicious.

1st visit: Came with a colleague (IM). Had a Build My Own Roti - Turmeric Roti with Chicken as my meat and Superior Butter Masala. My Roti was a fat wrap, which I like, and it tasted great. IM had a chicken Dosa (we both sampled each other's, and my colleague says the flavours are fantastic and very authentic). However my Roti could be crispier and less soggy, but the Dosa was very crispy. Also came with a small gulab jamun dessert (seems like they make these in house) - delicious.

We had dine-in, but there are only around 16 total seats in the place. In the future, we could eat on the picnic tables by...

Update: I used to be a regular customer and quiet a fan of their food and this place but off lately they have not been good! The quality of food and the service have both left a lot to be desired for. I ordered delivery and the Biryani tasted off and chicken was super dry! The other time I placed a pick up order and when I reached to pick it up they told me they didn’t receive the order. Which was a complete lie! And then eventually they admitted receiving the order but made an excuse that it was received ‘20 mins late’ and hence they needed 25 mins more to prepare it. When I asked to cancel it since I had already spent 17 mins waiting for the order and didn’t plan on spending next half hour there. They told me they can’t cancel. And after 5 mins the same lady at counter front asked if I wanted to cancel it! It was so ridiculous and the lack of acknowledgment of the inconvenience was disrespectful. When I requested the person at the front desk if it can be prioritized and done first, she told me no! Like zero sense of regret for the delay which was purely on your end and because of no fault of your customer! 25 mins after placing the order and 10 mins after waiting to pick up your another employee comes up to ask if I still want my order or not! Implying in the conversation that potentially I am some Uber or ritual pick up person, so basically you have different level of treatment for pick up people. The surprise on your face on realizing that I was just a customer and not a courier showed how the level of treatment and service changes based on these labels! Shameful to say! Never ever spending a...

This place was the most exciting surprise of Summer of 2019! In it's opening week, I came here 5 days IN A ROW! And to respond to a reviews here saying "if you're Indian you won't like this place"... I'm Indian and I LOVE this place. I initially went for the dosa, which I really like (and the sambar is so wonderfully spicy and nice amount of tamarind to make it tangy), but the roti has really won me over. My favourite is the spinach lamb. The mango lassi is good too. And you get complimentary gulab jamun with every order (just a tiny portion of it, but enough to get a sweet treat).

But it's the service and attention to personal relationship that keeps me coming back. The owner is often there overseeing and makes a point of introducing himself to the customers and asking about their experience what he can do to make it better. I've also gotten to know a few of the people who work there and everyone is so warm and really tries their best to give you the best experience. Every so often my order was wrong, but they went above and beyond to correct it. I honestly think it's because there is so much demand and they're trying to keep up and there's only so much room behind the counter for more staff members. More than anything, I appreciate the effort to make things right and the attention respecting customer experience.

I really love having a new neighbourhood restaurant where "everyone...

Ordered plain roti, masala dosa, and a mango lassi for two to share. Now this place had a line out the door today; pretty busy for a Friday noon but also just a hit for many people at a major conference held across the street. Dropped a star cos cashier dropped the kind act after about ten seconds and barely talked to us properly once we paid. It was hella busy tho so can I blame her? Usually don't eat Indian food out, and especially not for a very late breakfast cos I typically experience lots of oil with it. The roti had a good texture and fluffiness. But the soft and creamy masala filling and the light crispy dosa knew what they were doing and blessed my stomach. I don't recommend takeout dosa cos you want that crisp still — I luckily ate mine pretty soon after so it wasn't soggy. And definitely don't just eat the crispy part first like I did because there is a lot of filling to go with it. And lots of chutneys that we can't finish! Bang for ya buck. Mango lassi is nice and thick; there's a strong yogurt taste but mango flavour is kinda absent. It's pretty legit otherwise, not like the mango shakes at your functions. Good stuff overall, owners should upsize the location when they can! The mood would be a bit lighter and the crowd would love it too.

I found this place while walking toward the waterfront from Union Station in Toronto—and wow, what a pleasant surprise! From the outside, it looks modest and simple, but don’t let appearances fool you—this spot serves incredible food with generous portions that completely exceeded my expectations. We ordered butter chicken, malai kofta, masala dosa, and garlic naan thinking it would be just enough for two people… but honestly, two dishes would have been more than enough, portions are big! Each plate was packed with flavor and came with extras like dessert and crispy fritters—such a lovely touch! The flavors were authentic. The masala dosa was crisp and flavorful, the butter chicken was creamy and well-spiced, and the malai kofta was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The place was packed. Even those who didn’t seem used to spicy food were happily enjoying their meals, though for me, the spice level was a bit high—so if you're sensitive, it might be worth asking if they can tone it down a little. All in all, this spot was a good discovery. Delicious, satisfying, and a true value for the price. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, with an emptier stomach or an extra friend to help finish all that amazing food!

New Update I hopped in here again recently, the food was good however the seating area was not clean had food stains and used cutlery left on the table. I would definitely like to bring this up even if it’s a self service based restaurant , cleaning should be on top priority! I had the ghee masala dosa , the veg fried rice and the butter chicken roti here ‘ Ofcourse mango lassi that doesn’t even taste bad! I really like my time here with one of my new boss. He likes Indian food so I kept my trust in this place and came here for lunch. There was just one chef who tried his best to serve us and he did. The interiors have small colourful benches and some sofa seats that aren’t very comfortable but decent. Their menu is good, has halal options to try, with medium spicy food with roti. I had paper dosa with extra ghee to make it more tasty and it was amazing in crispiness, the chutney wasn’t really South Indian style. Their quantity is great, and they have a good lighting available. You can definitely try this place, the washroom wasn’t really clean or decent . Must try their mango lassi. Also you can try their menu that has to do with roti as it’s their specialty.
