I would have loved to have given Myth a five star rating however, after my experience last night, I am greatly dissatisfied with Myth’s lack of customer service. To begin we had a 9 PM reservation and arrived promptly. Upon arrival we were promised that our table would be ready shortly and to wait at the bar and enjoy a drink while we wait. After about 25 minutes, we were then brought to the outdoor patio where they wanted to seat us, but then our waitress turned back around and said that her manager placed another customer at our table. But the waitress did promise us that the time we waited for a table would not cut into our two hours of service we were allowed once seated. We were then brought back to the bar where we waited another 20 minutes. Not only that but people were then being placed where we were told to stand at the bar so we were then even displaced from the bar too. Now, it was approaching 10 PM a whole hour after our reservation, and we went up to the hostesses at the front of the restaurant to see when we would be seated, one of them said she was unsure, but was trying to seat us next. We told her we were unhappy with the service and she replied “What do you expect it’s King West on a Saturday night”. From such a high-end restaurant, I expected much more than this response, the lack of professionalism and consideration, for our time is absurd. We then told her that we were not satisfied with this, and that we were going to leave, and that we didn’t understand how they didn’t have a table to seat us when in our email it’s stated that all tables had two hours to eat, so how could there be no table for us to sit at when all tables should have this limit? She replied to this by saying “it’s not like we can shove the food down our customers throats”. At this point we just decided to leave there’s plenty of other restaurants on King west that would appreciate our business unlike Myth. I would actually love to speak to a manager about this interaction that I had with the hostess, because it was extremely unprofessional and the lack of hospitality is a horrible look for this business. How embarrassing is it, that they could not sit us after over an hour of waiting and there was no sympathy from staff to make up for it. Good luck going to Myth on a Saturday night as the hostess said “What do you expect it’s King West on a Saturday night”, so you can spend $200 on overpriced food just to be treated like garbage from wait staff. We were actually happy to leave Myth and eat elsewhere after this horrendous interaction. Do better, this restaurant is a joke if that’s how you speak to customers after asking them wait for over an hour when they had reservations, what a lack for...

Read moreJust OK. Very average to be honest. There was nothing really awful or amazing that stood out. The pictures and the reviews were so amazing maybe I had set my expectations too high (?) We sat outside and the weather was unacceptably hot as they only had fans on their roof. Firstly, I'd recommend that you get a sit inside rather than outside.
Drinks: Secondly, we tried 3 different cocktails (karpouzi, mykonos blu, and either destino or ilios) which were really disappointing because they were just too average (they were either too boozy or tasted like syrup or were too acidic). I have attached a video below, I believe we ordered the craziest items on their menu. For reference, all the drinks mentioned were $18-$20 and to me they were not worth the price. Obviously, the restaurant is high end and I am comparing with other $18-20 cocktails I have had.
Appetizer: We ordered kalamari mixto dor appetizer which was amazing (5/5 recommended). We also got a flaming saganaki, which is essentially a cheese on fire (video attached). Immediately regretted because this CHEESE DOES NOT COME WITH A BREAD (to be fair bread is not included with this item on the menu either but it's just common sense). So we ordered a pita bread which was really good but it arrived way too late. Also, the cheese itself is impossible to be eaten alone because it was TOO SALTY. Maybe we got a bad batch (?) Anyway, the Calamari was $25 and the cheese was $17 so definitely go for the Calamari because is was a 5 star dish.
Main Course: We got lamb chops (paidakia) and chicken souvlaki. They both came with Tzatkini which was irresistibly good. The lamb was 4 pieces and it was really good specially that we asked for a medium and they delivered a medium. The chicken was above average but don't order this, there's nothing outstanding about it; go for something more exciting. For reference, the lamb was $55 and the chicken was $30.
Overall, I don't think I'm coming back which is a shame because I got a peak inside when I went to the washroom and it was beautiful. I do believe the place has a lot of potential but the cocktails were awful (with respect to the price) and there are some unnecessary items on the appetizer menu (like flaming saganaki which is cheese but doesn't come with a bread!) and chicken souvlaki (jimmy the greek quality). More attention is...
