Went to Nando’s after hearing good things but ended up more than disappointed. From the outside the cool lighting fixtures and tinted windows give the illusion of a fine dining experience. Upon entering however you discover this is nothing more than a sham. This establishment has a numbered table cafeteria system. So not only do you have to pay $25+ for your meal, you have to work for it. The interior is fitting for people who are tacky with no real sense of self. It attempts to be ethnic, innovative, hipster but also cafeteria/lounge(y)? Has no real direction in regards to atmosphere so you’re left feeling as out of place and dishevelled as not only the interior but the ordering system. The salads were such a rip off, I actually returned mine and asked for a refund. The salad I received had a chunk of uncooked sweet potato, 5 leaves and one drop of dressing, oh and last but not least $5+ worth of chicken that was approximately 3.5 bites. The most overpriced rip off of a salad and an experience. The chicken is decently seasoned but honestly, this experience was unsettling and pathetically disappointing. Anyone with real taste and character would not dare recommend a place such as this. Never again. *pictured= one chicken meal with 2 sides, side salad and side mashed potatoes. Not the salad mentioned in my description. This salad came plain with no dressing whatsoever.*

Great, But not close enough. As someone who grew up in South Africa, I cant remember how many times I had Nando's. The signature Portuguese chicken recipe is a fan favourite and its unique take one the restaurant experience is what skyrocketed them to worldwide status. Despite this ubiquity(by African restaurant business standards) I was heartbroken to find out there wasn't one in Montréal(s/o Grillados) So when I visited Toronto, I knew I had to have a taste of home. The restaurant atmosphere was INCREDIBLE, music was on theme, the decor was lovely and finally, everything felt like how it would back home. The food itself was where I felt a disconnect, the Garlic Bread appetizer was good, but the double leg was dry, the sauce was reminiscent of what I had eaten long ago, but the texture of the chicken was too dry, as well as the corn side we were served. The fries also felt hollow and parched, not that I expect fries to be juicy, but y'know, let them either be crispy and a little parched or slightly soggy but filling and salty(IYKYK). The Sangria we were served was nice but frankly, nothing to write home about. The service was great, we were well catered to and had no hiccups or long waiting times. and if you're looking for a nice spot to eat out that doesn't break the bank, I wouldn't hesitate recommending Nando's to you.

The first two times we ordered Nandos from this location for delivery it was great. We got great helpings and it was delicious, we got chicken wraps the garlic mash and a quarter chicken meal. After that, My girlfriend and I had decided to go in person and we were so excited. We were then extremely disappointed. I’m not sure if they changed the quality of food or something since we ordered those first times but it was much worse, the garlic mash portion was maybe three bites worth and was a completely different dish from the first time I got it. The chicken was tiny and had maybe 4 bites of chicken on it. The service was horrible, you have to get up and go to the front to pay, you’re expected to leave a tip which I did (20%) before even receiving the food or service. Since you pay before hand you’re held hostage waiting for your food. they left dirty dishes on our table for more than 30 minutes and when I asked if they would take them away the server just ignored me (with empty hands) and walked away. I got so tired of waiting I got up and brought the dirty dishes over myself. We then had to wait an extra 30 minutes for them to bring our pre made chocolate cake. The best part of my experience here was getting to leave. We gave the one more try through delivery and ended up getting horrible quality food and portions, again it was like 3 bites of chicken and 2 bites of mash potatoes for $20. Don’t go here or order. Go to chickfila up the street. I feel ripped off and just mad. They must be getting fake reviews cuz there’s no way they should have 4.3 stars and I’m seeing so many people who experienced the...

DISAPPOINTED As a loyal customer of Nando's, I was excited to visit the Bay St. location specifically for the convenience of enjoying a variety of Coca-Cola beverages through the Freestyle machine. I checked the coco cola website. They said you have it. I called ahead before coming. A host confirmed that it was available and working. However, upon my visit yesterday, I was dismayed to discover that the Freestyle machine was not available.

This false information not only misled me as a customer but also resulted in a significant inconvenience during my dining experience. As a consumer, I value transparency and honesty from businesses, especially when it comes to the accuracy of amenities and offerings.

Other than that, my dining experience was very positive. There was a bit of an issue in taking the order, owing to technical issues with the points reward system. We got a great table. The food arrived on time and hot. But what's funny is that I remarked to the team member about the missing machine. He pointed to the fountain drinks dispenser and said that that was the coca cola freestyle machine.

And finally, do you what's really funny? That the POS system still has a line for the Freestyle qr code!

Update 1: you mean contact Katie Barlow? I did that a few days ago!

Update 2: so after everything, Nandos customer service is no where to be found. Maybe I should look in Lost (customer) and found...

The staff were friendly, the food was ok. What wasn't ok - Missing items - the dish that I wanted was missing. The restaurant ran out of it and it was just 12-1PM!). I waited for over 20 minutes I think when suddenly a guy from the staff came to me and said that the rice that I ordered is missing as well. So what I get here is - inefficiency of stock management. Guys, if you know for years that 12-1pm is busy so manage your stock accordingly, and not being able to tell me on time that the side that I ordered is missing but only 20 minutes later - that's not professional at all. For such inconvenience they could at least offer some sort of compensation but no, they didn't.

Ambience - the place is very noisy. There are all sorts of kitchen smells all the time - garlic, grilling, anything. I felt like I was sitting in the kitchen and I think my clothes absorbed those smells and still have then hours after. But worse than that, there was sometimes a heavy smoky that made me choke and couch several times. I don't even know how this place passes the health restrictions.

At some point when I was sitting here it got very very cold. They either turned on A/C or let the doors open but I felt a cold wind entering the place. At some point I had to wear my coat and get out of there ASAP.

To wrap it up - their food is ok, but I'd probably avoid dining there and order...
