An absolute must visit for me when I am in Toronto, and has been since about 2004. The rare beef pho is my go-to, with light and flavorful broth and tender beef. The special fried chicken wings have completely ruined me for any buffalo-ish wing - they are always perfectly crispy, with a spicy, vinegary sauce that is better than any wing sauce I have found anywhere else. When I get a craving for chicken wings, these are the wings I am imagining. The fried spring rolls are nice and crisp, with a tangy and sweet dipping sauce. I have also branched out and tried other dishes (curry beef, and some of the rice and noodle dishes with pork and chicken), but I always come back to the pho. For beverages, the limeade is my favorite - fresh lime juice and water, with a spoonful of sugar added and brought to your table still undissolved at the bottom of the cup. The cup also has a spoon in it when it arrives, so you stir it up and drink. Nice and sweet, but not enough sugar that it loses the tartness of the lime.

A few things to note: cash only! An ATM is located in the basement of the restaurant, and there are multiple banks and ATMs within a block. to order, you write everything you want on an order slip, which they take away to complete your order. This is typically the only time you request anything from the waiters, so be sure to order multiples of something if you will want it. For example, I was very surprised when I started going here that you generally can't get refills of drinks, because your order slip isn't added to after the initial order. So if you're thirsty, order 2 or 3 drinks right up front, because it will be your...

This long-standing pho restaurant has been in Chinatown for almost 4 decades, though they did move to a different spot a few addresses down. Very efficient family-run Vietnamese restaurant at the corner of Kensington Market in Chinatown.

Service is quick which makes it a great spot for a weekday lunch break. Whether you opt for the regular or large bowl, you can expect a hearty serving filled with tender meat and fragrant broth that warms the soul on a gloomy day.

Beyond phở, the menu shines with standout items like thei crispy fried chicken wings secret recipe that hails from Buffalo, NY, cherished by patrons.

Open seven days a week 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM with a menu that appeals to both veterans and newcomers alike, just remember to bring cash. This long-standing pho restaurant has been in Chinatown for almost 4 decades, though they did move to a different spot a few addresses down. If I could give 0 stars for this place I would as even 1 star seems too generous. Dined in with a group of 9 plus one child. When the waiter/manager (assuming he’s the manager based on how he behaved like he ran the place) took our order, he got upset and made a rude comment to our group and then angrily stated that the orders for our group size is not enough then proceeded to storm off and sent another waiter to serve our table. The child was the only person in our group who did not place an order (the child’s mother figured the portions would be too big for the child and thought it would more make sense if she just shared her meal with the child), while the rest of us ordered main dishes and a few appetizers. When we received our food order 45 minutes later, 3 of the dishes that we ordered were wrong and again the waiter/manager seemed irritated at our group after we politely informed him of the mistake. I can look past the mistakes with the orders (as these things can happen, we’re human after all) but what I can’t get over is how rude and arrogant this waiter/manager was. The interactions we had with this unpleasant person was bad enough to ruin our groups dining experience with the restaurant. I can understand if the restaurant has a no sharing policy or that every customer dining in must order. If this was the case there’s a proper way to communicate this instead of getting angry and making rude comments at...

I feel like this restaurant has finally found their mojo back since Covid! I got the special pho, a Vietnamese coffee, and fresh rolls! It all hit the spot ☺️
