Ordered on UberEATS from a friend’s recommendation of eating here 3x in past week. The food arrived quickly and the original buns were still piping hot and crispy with lots of soup inside. Tender pork filling was very good with flavours I remember growing up. I wouldn’t order the schnitzel again as it was dry and didn’t travel as well, same with the noodles. The star of the show is fried bao… next time will order JUST the original bao. Comes with vinegar sauce which is perfect accompaniment to the richness of the pork. I like to take a small bite of the bao and pour some sauce in to mix with the soup in the filling. Flavours reminds me of Shanghainese childhood. Delicious and warning: VERY juicy! Updated July 19/24: went to visit in person with some friends for a quick lunch since we were nearby on Charles. Cute, very clean restaurant. Food came quickly after ordering from the QR code. We had 3 orders of the original baos and one noodle to share. Baos came out piping hot filled with hot soup. So good with the vinegar! Noodles fantastic! So simple, meatless yet full of flavour. Wish I had ordered the wonton soup to try but this was too much food for the three of us, we forced down the last baos, and left very full! Next time! Would love if they could add a fresh vegetable component to the menu? Maybe a crunchy smashed...

I have known this store for a while but had no chances to try it until today. I was very happy.

Being a Shanghainese, I have very high standards for my Shengjian Bao. Their dishes left me with a strong impression.

The crust of the Bao was super crunchy, the Bao is filled with meat and hot soup. If you like Xiaolongbao, you will like this too. Shengjian Bao is Xiaolongbao on steroids. I also order a side of small wonton soup.

Since today was the first day of the official opening, it was a bit hectic as the servers are still ironing out their process. However, the manager was very responsive and apologetic. I am sure they will eventually have a smooth operation.

The seating can fix 30 plus people in total. You can either dine in or take out. It's the first day, so it might be different for you. The waiting was about 10 minutes during lunch hours for dine in and 20 minutes for take out orders.

I highly recommend the store and will definitely bring my...

Fried Truffle Bao($9.99) As soon as I opened the top part of the bun, all the steam was coming out. It was served piping hot which I loved and bottom part was crispy brown. Bao bun was thin enough to enjoy the stuffing. Pork, mushroom & “truffle paste( not fake oil) stuffing was delicious.

Dry noodles with meat sauce. Unfortunately noodle was way overcooked for me, not chewy or bouncy at all for my liking.

Shanghainese Style Schnitzel( $8.88) Menu description says “A tradition dish that celebrates Lunar New Year since 1930's. Served w/ Homemade Rice Cake and Sweet & Sour Gravy.” Good to know. Deep fried pork did not really need dipping sauce. This mochi underneath dippied in worstershire based sauce was very good.

Dried tofu cold salad($5.99) There was really crunchy green in this sald that I was picking through but it was not collard green leaves. Not sure what it was but that green stuff was fantastic!!

I would definately return...
