So I ordered from this place 4 times Here's my conclusion, the staff are not professionals, therefore the food is not consistent, the first 2 times were good but the third time was unedable not even sure if it was sanitary, my assumption is because the staff are simply not trained, and there are few examples that suggested that to me
1 example: every time I called in to make an order, they tell me it'll be prepared in an hour... it's never ready mind u my order is one bbq chicken 45min should've been more than enough 2 example: the staff who's speaking on the phone is always unaware of what they offer and how long will it'll take to prepare
There are also a number of things that makes u question the sanitary/professionalism of the place 1 Example: there's a sticky fly ribbon hanging from the sealing...looks disgusting 2 example: onion bag plced on the floor where customers stand (that may have been one time but still) 3 example: some ingredients looked very bad and outdated such as the hummus (but that could be the few times I was there) 4 example: there's an issue with ventilation, ones they were making chicken bbq and the whole restaurant was full of smoke looked like shisha store 5 example: the pop refrigerator was leaking water 6 example: there seems to be only one worker who prepares the food and the second person often disappears, mind u there are many ppl waiting for their order
Just in general the place gives off a feel of dirty cheap food which is a shame, cuz the food could be good, the first time I ordered BBQ chicken it tasted good the rice was delicious, and garlic sauce had great consistency, it was not watered down as it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually donāt leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience this time.
I went to this place to order two chicken shawarma wraps and a side of fries. I clearly said, āIād like two chicken shawarma wraps and fries.ā It took about 30 minutes before they even started preparing my order. When the employee finally began making the food, I noticed he was filling two boxes with fries. I asked him again to confirm that I wanted wraps, and he said yes. I repeated my order to make sure he understood, and again, he said āyes, okay.ā
But instead of making wraps, he piled a large amount of chicken directly onto the fries and started adding sauces. I told him this wasnāt what I ordered. He got upset and insisted that this was the āchicken shawarma with friesā I had asked for. He then offered a refund, but in a very rude and angry tone, which I didnāt appreciate.
All I wanted were two chicken shawarma wraps with fries on the sideānot everything mixed together. He didnāt make any effort to correct the mistake or offer to remake the wraps. I ended up just taking the food to avoid further conflict.
This experience was disappointing, especially because I made my order very clear and gave them multiple chances to confirm it. I hope they improve their customer service and communication...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a craving for shawarma and was on my way home from a late evening shift. Just as luck would have it my subway train went out of service at Christie. I found this newly opened place across the street and decided to give it a try. Service was amazing. Very attentive staff. Food was great. The shawarma was nicely toasted. The fries have a yummy seasoning on it. Price is even better combo was $12 something -unheard of in Toronto these days. Another customer walked in and ordered samosas so I was curious and looked at the menu. It was $0.50 for a veggie samosa. Samosas have not been this price since 2005. Anyways, pretty impressed with this find and will come back when Iām in the area. Definitely...
