After 2 Years of Loyalty, I'm Done
I’ve been a loyal customer for over two years, but after my latest experience, I’m officially done with this place. The portion sizes have shrunk noticeably, the food quality has declined, and the customer service — especially from the manager — is unacceptable.
Their lunch special clearly states that it includes 2 pieces of chicken. What I was served was a single chicken thigh cut in half, and the manager insisted that still counted as two pieces. That logic makes no sense — a breast, thigh, drumstick, and wing are all individual pieces. Cutting one in half doesn't magically make it two.
When I questioned this, the manager became argumentative instead of offering any reasonable explanation or resolution. She even said if I had asked for a drumstick, she would’ve cut that in half too — which is just ridiculous. I asked for a refund because I didn’t receive what I paid for, and she initially refused. It wasn’t until we said we wouldn’t leave and would call the police that she finally agreed to process the refund.
This manager is clearly not trained in customer service or basic food portioning. It’s a shame because this used to be a good spot. Do yourself a favour and check out other jerk spots — the ones in Liberty Village or Dufferin Mall are far better in both quality...

I decided to give it a try and ordered Oxtail. I noticed the size of the take out container and the amount of pieces in there were not on par with $25 + tax!
On top of that the seasoning and juice on it tasted like the juice from a Beef Patty flavour??!!
Quite frankly oxtail with its cooked juices has a particular flavour and seasoning that one seeks to savor when you buy Oxtail in the city. This is not apparent in the receipt, the lack of meat and quantity for the high cost is not worth ones time and effort.
I wish I would have read the reviews prior to my purchase.
However, if you're in business in an area for many years one expects quality and consistency. Unfortunately, I will not be eating here again and will stick to my usual locations in Toronto for Oxtail where the flavour and quality stands out...

I know everyone misses Pat’s and holds a nostalgia for it, but Sheryl’s takes care of you in every single way.
I am writing this coming off of a beautiful experience with Donald. You’ll usually see him manning the front of house at the cash, and is a delight to your experience from the moment you walk in.
As a Jamaican myself, felt good to see the spirit of such culture remaining in such a legendary location for some of Toronto’s best and authentic Jamaican food. Everything tasted fantastic and the serving is very much worth the dollar.
5/5 — Support them, show them love and indulge in good food. Every reason to return. Even if it’s to share a few laughs and good spirits...
