SU KARAOKE BAR — Restaurant in Toronto

Disappointment and racism!! Came in at 7:05 pm on a Sunday evening, the asian guy there billed us for an hour rental I paid exactly at 7:10 pm and all four of us went to the washroom immediately, they set up our room at 7:15 and that’s when we entered. After a while one of the guy came in between to check if everything was okay for no reason and interrupted us… felt quite strange but we continued then he came again at 8:10 and to my shock he said that the time is up! I told him we entered the room at 7:15 literally(boss can check the camera). But he specifically told me, “the timer starts as soon as you pay even without setting up the room”; I was in shock, I asked him again and he said yes we start the timer even before setting up the room (I was recording my song so got his voice on my voice recorder and I have this proof if the manager wants). It is utterly shocking that this specific karaoke starts the timer before even setting up the room and without you even entering. We have come here several times but never had an experience like this, we left in disappointment and never returning again. Advice to non asian people, you will be discriminated, there are other places who will treat you better and won’t make the rules on the spot by judging your race or ethnicity. (Just for reference: Here I wasn’t talking about the new guy training but the other asian guy who is always...

So this place was very nice, I really liked the bar vibe at the bar. You should know that unlike other karaoke places you cannot bring outside food to the private rooms. Also there isn't service to your private room, you have to go to the bar....which is totally fine. It was very clean...also clean washrooms. Some thing to be aware of that I saw other ppl mention and was a bit unsure. I read reviews where ppl say that it's hard to manage the karaoke book or list as it's in Korean....it's actually not difficult once you actually give it a try. The songbook/tablet is in Korean but has buttons in English....and that's all you really need to know, how to punch in artist, how to punch in a song and how to delete a song. Overall we all had a good time. The only thing that I thought was very weird and silly was that we were there for a birthday and the birthday person left a gift which was 2 chocolate bars and a card in the room. The room was cleared out immediately after the group got out. In under the hour someone went back to say "hey, did you find a card and two chocolates left behind? They were a gift"...... The response from the staff was all shoulder shrugged and "ummm we throw everything out.... But your card is here" We admit the items should not have left behind but don't u put things aside or were they eaten asap?...

I booked a reservation for my workplace as an end of the year party. They were able to accomodate 20 of us on a saturday night during peak hours which was fantastic! All my coworkers mentioned how clean and well organized everything was. Since it hasnt been open too long the microphones and all the technology were basically brand new. The furniture was in perfect condition and the whole place was super clean.

We ordered drinks all night and had a blast! Theres no hot food but snacks and a well stocked bar. The owner/emoloyees were very kind and accomodating all night.

This place rocks, everyone was raving about how much fun it was. Any reviews complaining about a lack of songs are just incorrect. They use one of the topmost karaoke machines from TJ and had very up to date songs.

The room rate was very reasonable for such a nice place. I will reccomend this place to anyone looking for a great night.
