(This is the first time I came to this restaurant near Queen’s station. I initially thought it was just a typical American restaurant, but I found their food quality surprisingly good and the restaurant is also very spacious😸) Actually, I was still struggling what to order after I sat down and browsed the menu, but then a waiter just approached me and recommended “California Benedict”, so I eventually took his opinion. 1. It turned out the Benedict matched so well with both bacon and guacamole, giving it a rich texture and savoury flavour. Meanwhile. the runny egg york and hollandaise sauce also made the Benedict extra juicy and moist. 2. I also saw some reviews giving compliments to the restaurant’s pancakes, so I also ordered the blueberry one. The waiter was so attentive that he suggested ordering just one slice of it, so that I would not feel very full. I also saw some diners complaining that the pancake was quite dry, but then after I added butter to both sides and poured some maple syrup, it’s perfect for me! It striked a balance between the savoury and sweetness for my breakfast. (Remark: The whole “California Benedict” adds up to over 1500 calories, so if you’re not ready for a “heavy” meal, be prepared to share it with someone or just take away the home fries😂) Would like to visit the restaurant again and try out some of the other dishes, such as omelettes and sandwiches! If you’re looking for place for a weekend breakfast, this can definitely be one of your choices! Price: $27.9 (Including tax + tips)

Oh boy, where do I start? The Sunset Grill at Yonge/Richmond is a hard pass. I've been to this joint three times, and each visit was a one-way ticket to Disappointmentville. Even tried ringing up the corporate bigwigs, but got zilch. This last visit was the icing on the stale cake. The scrambled eggs seemed like leftovers from a bygone era, and when I asked for some cheese mixed in, they said they could only sprinkle it on top. Freshly made? Nope! The pancake was a whole other level of blah. It had zero taste and fluff, felt like I was gnawing on a foam pad. Now, the only saving grace was the waitress, who was a lot nicer and attentive this time around. But man, you could see she was overworked and underpaid, just like the rest, except others didn’t bother hiding it. Flashback to a previous visit - the bacon was cold and dry, like it was yanked out of the fridge and tossed onto my plate after a couple of hours. And don’t get me started on the hot sauce, or the lack thereof. Their home fries are a saga of culinary chaos. You get a mix of undercooked and burnt bits, like they can't decide how they want to ruin potatoes. If you've got any other option, even a Tim Hortons or McDs around the corner, you're better off there. I've checked out other Sunset Grill spots and they were decent, so what’s the deal with this one? It’s like the black hole of breakfast places. In short, if you’re in the mood for a good breakfast, look elsewhere. This place? Avoid at all cost.

My family and I visited Sunset Grill at this location recently for the first time and was not disappointed. Our host seated us quickly with a friendly smile and polite demeanour. Our server, Samantha, is THE BEST! She was friendly, courteous, sincere, funny and personable, not only with our table, but also with the guests at the tables nearby. Her customer service skills are excellent and she made our dining experience very memorable and enjoyable from the beginning up until the moment we were leaving. Samantha checked in on us to make sure we were okay and truly went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout the time we were there. We will definitely be back and want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Samantha for making our day! :)

I also want to take a moment to again thank the host for being friendly and polite and for seating us quickly as well. She did a great job too! :) (unfortunately I didn't catch her name)

A nice gentleman also watered our table right away and welcomed us with a friendly smile which was a greatly appreciated gesture on a hot day that did not go unnoticed. Thank you to him as well for that. :)

I also want to thank Wayne, the Manager, for his friendly conversation and for taking the time to meet with us so we could recognize Samantha's amazing customer service with him before we left.

All in all a great experience, and a really amazing team of friendly and welcoming staff, with great all around customer service skills, which I believe is a reflection of great leadership and an exemplary manager. Way to go Wayne! We will be back soon!...

My visit was to the Rhichmond street location. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect from a bustling breakfast place: bright, cheerful, and filled with the comforting aroma of sizzling bacon. The friendly chatter of patrons mixed with the clatter of plates created a vibrant, energetic buzz.

The menu at Sunset Grill is a classic homage to breakfast staples. From fluffy omelets overflowing with fillings to stacks of pancakes drenched in syrup, there's something to satisfy every craving. I opted for their signature Classic Breakfast – two eggs, ham, golden brown home fries, and toast. It's a simple choice, I know, but a true test of a breakfast establishment.

And let me tell you, Sunset Grill delivered. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order, the ham was satisfyingly crisp without being burnt, and the home fries were seasoned just right.

Beyond the classic breakfast, I also noticed several tempting options on the menu. The Belgian waffles looked incredibly tempting, piled high with fresh fruit and whipped cream. And the Eggs Benedict, a brunch favorite, seemed to be a popular choice among other diners. I'll definitely be back to try those next time!

While the food was undoubtedly the highlight, the service was also noteworthy. Our server was attentive and friendly, ensuring our coffee cups were always full and checking in regularly. It's those small details that truly elevate the dining experience.

Overall, my experience at Sunset Grill was a...
