I have to say for living down the street from this place. I have kind of always avoided it. I decided to give it another chance today and lo and behold I find myself disappointed again. I guess I'm partially to blame as I should have untied the knot to my takeout and double-checked as this has happened to me before. I shattered my ankle in December so getting around is pretty tough and I wanted to treat myself today as I am just starting to walk again. This is besides the point but I find myself now sitting and eating a meal I am unhappy with because I am too sore to go and return it. I ordered a rainbow roll and got a salmon and avocado roll with one other piece of some unidentified fish. I will admit the freshness of the food is great and the quality seems to be there, but if I wanted a salmon and avocado roll I could have ordered that and saved myself $3. That brings me to my next point, the prices here are outrageous. I mean if you are going to charge $16 for a single premium roll, it had better come with soup and/ or salad. That is a bare minimum and quite honestly sushi etiquette in my opinion having spent quite some time in Japan, making sushi. Very disappointed again as this happens every time I go. Rather go to Kibo, better quality, better prices. Better service all around. This is the last time I will be going. FYI, I don't generally ever leave reviews even when the food is bad. I politely just speak to the staff about it but enough is enough with this place....

Gotta say, a neighbor recommended this place and from having walked by a bunch of times, I was skeptical, plus seeing mixed reviews, I wasn't really thrilled to come here. I completely change my mind! Excellent service, delicious food (I had a roll set - dynamite and spicy tuna) we also ordered tempura (PERFECT), gyoza (great), and yakitori (could have done without that one) - my group also had a chicken udon (really nice, though it had seaweed in it, which wasn't clear until it arrived) and a salmon teriyaki bento box. Beyond that, they comped us with the said ramen of other review, the edamame, a delicious deep fried tofu, spicy fermented bean sprouts and some refreshing orange to wrap up our meal. The servers were attentive and spoke perfect English (though I wouldn't consider that a requirement for an enjoyable meal) and we felt well taken care of. Definitely recommend if you're in the hood. While SOME items are a bit pricy, our share of the bill came to $50 and we're...

We ordered takeout via Uber Eats. We ordered the Salmon Lover Set, Bulgogi, and Smoked Salmon Avocado Maki.

The Salmon Lover Set came with salad and miso soup. Both side dishes were nice. The miso soup was flavourful and the salad had just enough dressing. The spicy salmon smelled fishy and was likely 1 day away from being spoiled. The Salmon nigiri and Salmon sashimi weren't fishy thankfully, however the Salmon nigiri was not crafted by a sushi chef.

The Bulgogi came with white rice, salad and miso soup. The side dishes were nice. The rice was cooked properly. The bulgogi is average, nothing to write home about.

The smoked salmon Avocado maki is just okay.

The order was $60. It is not...

First time ordering here and WOW. Has to take the top spot for the best sushi I’ve had in the city. The sushi rice, fish, and veggies were so fresh, and they have unique rolls. The spicy crab roll is REAL CRAB too, not imitation! I also got the spicy salmon mango crunch roll (10/10) and Inari roll (10/10) Delicious. Will order again soon. Thank you! :)

The sashimi was poor quality, somehow slimy and chewy at the same time, and not recommended our poor decision to risk ordering it. Can’t fault the rest of the meal the sushi platter was very good and we finished it in less than 5 minutes. Our server was nice and I’d recommend the trip as a whole.

Absolutely great Japanese restaurant! The sushi and sashimi were tasty, fresh, and so well put together in a place. Also a generous portion for fair prices. The salmon lover premium is so much worth it. The restaurant space is also very cozy. Lastly, very welcoming staff and great service.
