PLEASE deal with your money-hungry bartenders: Was at Celebrities this past Saturday night (Nov 24, '18) for Yotto and was the designated driver for some friends. Bought my gf and I a round of beers and left tip. An hour later, asked the busy bartender for a cup of ice (only) and thanked him (no tip left). Another hour or so later, I saw no one was at the bar so I asked him for my second cup of ice. He asked me in an interrogating manner what I was doing with all the ice. Told him I was drinking it. He was instantly triggered and picked up his tip jar and said I need to be tipping more often if I'm drinking. I explained I was planning on tipping him at the end of the night but he was clearly angry and continued to tell me I should be tipping regardless. I was totally taken aback by his demeanor and told him to keep the ice and walked back to my group. I looked back at him, not sure what just happened. He then looked at me and made a motion for me to be quiet by putting his finger over his lips. I walked back to him as I felt taunted and asked him what is going on. He shouted "go away and leave me alone". The bartender was male, buzzed hair, overly muscular and tattooed up, and has an accent. Totally ruined my night. In my past years as a bartender, I would never ask a customer for tips, let alone for water. Scooping ice into a cup took him about half a second each time - that does not warrant a tip. I filled up my cup with water the rest of the night in the bathroom. Unfortunately I have tickets bought to another show here so I will be returning but my days here are coming to an end. I'll be bringing my pennies with me to the next show; that's about as much as I can spare for this level of service. A second star for my rating is left because they manage to book good electronic artists, but unfortunately I have to share the experience...
Read moreI had the best time at celebrities this Tuesday! I don’t usually go out on Tuesdays, but I met Evan at Zara and we both were talking about how we enjoyed the music of Zara and he told me he worked at celebs and to come on a Tuesday, so naturally I did ! Evan was there to great me at the front and the entrance into celebs was seamless ! Aaron was so kind as well ! My friends and I got a table because one of my girlfriends came home from mexico after 2+ months so I wanted to do something special to welcome her back (see the picture for the sign hehe) so anyways we got the table and my friends who were joining us were being a bit iffy about when they were going to Show up to celebs and I wanted to time it out so my friend who just came back from Mexico would get to see the sign I had thought of for her. Anyways, Becky , the girl who was serving us was so so so amazing and when I told her “hey they will be here in 20 min” she set a timer on her phone to bring the sign out , but then they didn’t end up coming for another 30 min so I talked to a couple other staff (I don’t remember the names , one was dark haired standing by the right bar by the tables and the other one had a hood on but I’m pretty sure he had light hair), anyways they both helped me find Becky when my friends came and the sign was so perfect for my friend !! I had such a good night !! Will 100% be back again. Oh and the music ,...
Read morePositives: we showed up on time with tickets for an event. We got in fairly quickly to an emptyish club and got our stuff in coat check without hassle
Negatives: the atmosphere in celebrities was so predatory. Guys just forcefully grinding with girls and ready to fight. They made my female friend uncomfortable and one guy was trying to fight me towards the end of the night because I put myself between them. Like, get the hint!
The worst part of it were the bartenders. I asked one guy for water and he gave me attitude so I moved to another bartender who yelled at me for being rude for not saying please. The first bartender finally got us water in the midst of the second bartenders rant but it really pissed me off. For a place that has bouncers wearing shirts reminding us to "stay hydrated" they sure know how to keep you from doing just that. I get that as a bartender you make money off of us ordering drinks but it's also In the club's best interest to make sure everyone there is hydrated. If you don't want to give us water then sell me a bottled water but at least be respectful.
As the night progressed the dancefloor became extremely crowded, the crowd got drunker and the guys got more desperate and the atmosphere became hostile. The show was great though, maybe it would be been better at...
