Staff is kind of rude and I felt very pressured to choose a colour literally within minutes of sitting down.
The girl tried to give me a higher price than what she’d said on the phone because she was wanting to charge me for their more expensive nail extensions without asking me. Very sneaky.
The nails look nice but, in my opinion, it’s not worth the bad experience while you get them done. Definitely not coming back.
RESPONSE: Thank you for your reply. Yes, I believe we should clarify.
The technician didn’t tell me the prices of the services. She simply told me “it’s going to be $75”, to which I responded that that’s not what I had been told on the phone. And THEN she told me that she was applying solar and I told her I only wanted regular acrylic.
yes, she did tell me it would $35 dollars more to which I said I would just go with a simple polish. However, she did pressure me by asking 4-5 times throughout my time there if I had decided on a colour yet well before it was time to apply it. Each time, and particularly the first couple times, I asked her if I had to decide right away? Since she could start working on building and shaping the acrylic and give me more time to decide. In the end, she did stop asking me but not before having already made me feel uncomfortable. The girl working on my toenails did not do that nor did the girl working on my friend.
Why would they charge me more? I chose a single polish for both my feet and hands, no design and no French tip. I asked her before choosing if it was extra and she said no, she never mentioned forgoing any price for me.
I did call today to inquire about prices to make a colour change, I never assumed that would be free. When the person who answered the phone told me the exorbitant price of $40 I decided not to go through with it, which I’m in all my right to do. I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT hang up the phone on anyone. I would love for that person to tell me that to my face. I will not accept that lie.
I never said the nails looked bad, I still gave you 3 stars before . Whether I like a colour or not is very personal, and happens to clients often - nothing wrong with that as long as they’re willing to pay which I was. There are simply better options out there.
I appreciate your willingness to still work things out. However, the nature of your response and how you very clearly tried to make me out to be lying simply leaves an ever worse...
Read moreNEVER EVER go to this nail studio!!!! I have never left a bad review of anywhere but this was the worst experience I have ever had. I work in the beauty industry for 20 years and was totally shocked by this place . I booked the appointment well in advance as it was opposite the lashes place I was going to.
I walked in and got yelled at “sit down”. The older Asian woman never asked my name , she threw the nail colour wheel at me “choose colour” . I said I’m not getting a colour , I have an appointment . She yelled back are you Ella. I said no , and then she tried to find my appointment. She was so abrupt and rude I was taken aback and was hoping she was not the one who is going to do my nails
I got a shellac change on toes, she sprayed freezing water on my feet and did the French paint so bad . All tools were not sanitized . The place was filthy. Toes did not look the same and were made a weird angle . While she did my toes I showed her what I wanted for my hands and asked for French ombre “ and she barked back “that dosnt exist”. I said ok I’ll show you a picture . Showed her the photo from Pinterest. Unfortunately she was the one doing my hands too. I asked her to cut the nails shorter and she didn’t. didn’t use the right nail extension size for my nails. Didn’t put the gel to the very back it already looked like 2weeks grow out.
I booked for gel x and she looked like she had no idea how to do this . It was sooo blobby and bad . All the glue had set under my nails and was bubbling out . I politely showed her the lumpiness on the nails under the light and she just said “it’s not “. “I have to do lots of layers to make it strong that’s why it’s so thick “. The whole point of gel x nails is to have them thinner . Anyways I paid and left (through etransfer. Machine magically not working)
I went straight to another nail salon and they were shocked at my nails . They couldn’t believe what I was charged and how I was treated . They were the ones who told me it looks so wrong because it’s not even right size extension for my nails. They had to scrape out all the gel bubbling from Underneath and fix the bumpy top. I wish I took a photo before getting them fixed. The most rude person I’ve ever had a service with. Such bad quality and none of the tools were out of a packet like they are...
Read moreI typically avoid writing bad reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about this place. Save your money and avoid the hassle! I chose this salon based on positive Google reviews, made an appointment, and specifically asked if they could do a faded French manicure with someone experienced. The receptionist assured me they could handle any design and quickly scheduled me in.
Upon arrival, I noticed a visibly unhappy woman complaining about her nails. The staff handled the situation poorly, blaming her for the outcome. This should have been my first red flag, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.
When it was my turn, a young girl attended to me. I showed her a picture of the simple faded French design I wanted, featuring pink and white tips. She repeatedly insisted it wouldn't look good on my nails and suggested other designs. Confused and frustrated, I stuck to my choice. She then called her "manager" to convince me in Chinese that the style was unpopular and that they didn't want negative reviews on Google. It was outrageous—they were indirectly warning me not to leave a bad review if they did a poor job.
Under pressure, I chose a different design, and the result was horrendous. I was so disappointed that I went to another salon two days later to fix the mess. I paid around $70, including a design fee, for a subpar job. It was not worth it.
What infuriates me the most is their false assurance. They claimed they could do any design but clearly couldn't. The girl who did my nails was inexperienced and unskilled, which is why she kept pushing me to change my design. It's unacceptable for a salon to mislead customers and deliver such...
