Our dinner here started with what most people came here for - Dungeness crab (salt and pepper preparation of course). It was as good as we had hoped for, but then the dishes kept coming, and our minds kept getting blown. First was their signature crispy chicken stuffed with sticky rice(窩燒糯米雞), which came in nicely cropped rectangular pieces resembling bite size sandwiches. Once I stuffed one in my mouth, the crispy skins on both sides were the first revelation. Next was the umami flavored sticky rice, which gave the “sandwich” its soft and chewy center. It must have been flavored with some variant of chicken stock, because it reminded me of a more intense hainan chicken rice. I should also mentioned there were minimal bones to be found, save for the wing and thigh pieces, which made this a very accessible chicken dish for even the youngest diners! The thoughtfulness and craft clearly shown through in this rendition of the dish.

Next comes my fair warning where I will wax poetic about veggies, because it’s time we give them their due especially in Chinese cuisine. Yes vegetables in this joint were given their proper respect, whether as the main show in the stir fried pea shoots dish or seafood fried noodle dish. The choy sum in the seafood fried noodles dish was particularly impressive, and each individual stalk was cooked to perfect crisp and freshness, from leave to stem. The kitchen staff clearly hand picked only the best from their suppliers and the chef made each sung to their highest notes.

We also order the char siu (bbq pork belly), hot and sour soup, salt and pepper fried tofu and dried scallop fried rice. While they were perfectly adequate supplements to our meal, I did not find them to excite me as the stars of the show I mentioned above. That’s my only reservation for giving it the fifth star. On service, because Google wants me to, we came on a slow weeknight, and the staff was more than attentive.

We came here for dinner with Dungeness crab in our crosshairs. The restaurant nailed the dish, and proceeded to expand our palate on Cantonese cuisine and how proper attention and craftsmanship could elevate simple ingredients and preparations like the choy sum, to the same level of enjoyment as their more glamorous counterparts like the crab and stuffed...

DINNER: We decided to go out for dinner and managed to get a table here at the last minute. Our first dish was Green beans, okra and eggplants. It was not greasy and just right. In fact, we all liked it so much I considered ordering another one. It's so good I'm going to come and just have this one dish all by myself one day! We also had pea shoots which were very fresh. The braised pork belly was super tender and succulent. There's a person in our party with a special diet requirement and we asked for braised tofu and they were gracious enough to make this off the menu for us. It was easily the best we've had because they made it fresh with soft tofu and so the tofu was super fresh and not dried out. Our last dish was the house special wild duck, and I have to call that rubber duck. My friend warned me that wild ducks can be tough and this one was. Although I prefer the flavour much better than the usual BBQ duck. Best of all, the service was awesome, extremely attentive. Although I do wonder if the servers sanitize their gloved hands after picking up used place BEFORE delivering a new dish. Worth noting is that they serve the tea properly. The provide a thermos with hot water, a teapot, and another pot on a candle. The tea leaves are not allowed to soak with hot water. As a result, I had to check out the washrooms. The washroom is unisex and I made the mistake of entering a unisex room. OK, this place definitely made it to our favour list now. I am not going to deduct points for the duck although I should. If I were to deduct points, it would be because of the wet washroom floor. UPDATE – LUNCH: We've been back for Dim Sum. The two of us ordered: Deep Fried Tofu, Prawn Dumplings, Prawn and Chive Dumplings, BBQ Pork Belly with Honey, Braised Mixed Vegetables, and Chicken Feet with Brown Sauce. Oh my, the BBQ Pork Belly was insane, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a delicate flavour, not too salty and not too sweet – just right. The Deep Fried Tofu was freshly made without MSG or garlic as requested, and was crispy and not greasy with a clean flavour. I appreciated that the Braised Mixed Vegetables were not dinner size. I will make this my Go-to place for Chinese Cuisine...

Dined in for a birthday gathering at 7:30 (Saturday night) and ordered the Peking duck combo, additional dishes and a bottle of wine. Couldn't order their signature roasted chicken with sticky rice (sold out and recommended to pre-order in advance - as shown in their website).

Service: Lacked attentiveness. First asked for 5 glasses and was forgotten. Had to ask again, and got glasses all with previous stains/food bits. Two glasses were showing cracks. They close at 9:30pm, and they brought out the cake without notifying us around 9pm so they can start closing. Could have told us in advance and let us know they have a strict closing time. There were only 3 tables that time - many opportunities to do so. We weren't finished eating, but they started packing the left overs away as we were going to take group photos. They approached us at 9:30 to say we have to close. That's not even 2 hours of dining for a big table.. they should notify us earlier on minimum times.

Food: Worst value for Chinese food. The ingredients for the vegetables picked out was of the cheapest kind - choi sum, bean sprouts, gai lan (not even the jr kind). The Peking duck was burnt and dry. The scallop and pea dish - embarassing scallop quality / value but peas were good. The overall size of the dishes were small, and quality lacking in comparison of other chinese seafood restaurants. Not deserving of Michelin recommends for dinner. The only good dish was not on the combo (pork ribs and taro). Would not recommend the Peking duck combo.

Atmosphere was the only decent view, but I noticed there has been atleast months of dust collected on their nice overhead lighting.

Will not recommend anyone here for dinner - Just your average chinese restaurant with...
