Now I’m not one to usually write reviews, or even complain, but this experience has truly bothered me. It’s my husband and I’s honeymoon and we went to Clough because we saw great reviews and wanted to have a good time. When we got there my husband has to use the restroom quite badly. My husband is disabled, he is blind and only has 25% vision- and this is very clear, so when we are in public I have to guide him around. We got to Clough and I go inside and up to a waiter and ask him where the restroom is. He tells us it’s in the back. So I walk my husband to the back of the restaurant and the waiter follows us. He asks us if we are already seated within the restaurant. I tell him no, not yet, and that my husband just has to use the restroom. He begins to circle around us and block our path- causing my husband to slightly bump into another woman, and tells us “he doesn’t understand what I mean by ‘soon to be’ and blocks the bathroom door.” I told him once again, “my husband just needs to use the restroom before we sit down.” The waiter then tells us it will probably be a 20 minute wait before we can sit down. I then proceed to tell him “that’s fine, can we just use the restroom first before we wait.” And he says a very rude “No.” without any future explaination. Typing out this interaction doesn’t do it justice, but I have been bothered all night by this. What restaurant doesn’t let paying customers use the restroom first before sitting down? And especially when the customer is clearly disable and being guided to the restroom? On top of that, if there is a 20 minute wait, wouldn’t it be common sense to let the customer go ahead and use the restroom? It was an extremely disrespectful interaction and an example of how disabled people are treated in public. It wasn’t like we were sneaking in- the first thing I did was go up to the waiter! I’m very bothered by this. I hope justice is done. He was a short man. Probably 5’4-5’5 with brown eyes and dark brown wavy hair. He was working the night October 21st. He was definitely a buzzkill on my husband and i’s honeymoon....

Any decent cocktail bar in the city can turn 15 unpronounceable ingredients into a delicious concausion, but when they give the customers a culinary adventure, then we know we have something special here.
I can list the cocktails I most enjoy but I'd rather challenge you to give the bartenders at Clough an ingredient and let them go wild, they can whip up something imaginative yet comforting with their skillful hands right in front of your eyes. The cocktails are truly poetic and the flavours they come up with are just that authentic that you cannot find anywhere else in the city.
The surprising and perhaps underrated part of the menu is perhaps their hotdogs. They manage to create mental journeys with different toppings. You can be in southeast Asia or you can be seeing Oprah in the Windy city. The hotdogs are by far my favourite night late grub in the city, they are truly magical.
I have been a loyal fan, customer and friend of Clough and I hope I did not over sell the...

A busy Saturday night in Gastown, some places 1/2 empty while others packed with a line-up. Clough Club definitely was one of the spots that was hopping and we no know why.
Live music, excellent staff, great vibe... but in our case the most important aspect was the attention to details, precision and history of their cocktails.
We use the classic "Manhattan" to judge this at all of the places we visit around the world. When we mentioned this to the mixologist, he just smiled confidently and went about his business.
One sip after the cocktails were delivered, we knew where that smile had emanated from: The confidence in knowing what he was about to serve. The Manhattan was as close to perfection as we have had and was definitely the best we have experienced in Vancouver.
Go there for the cocktails, stay for the atmosphere is...
