Service really was very poor. Server was very slow, took my order wrong, and wasn't attentive. Almost non-existent. Waited for a refill for way too long. I had to ask other servers to help me, because my server was so absent. The only time that service was immediate was when I asked for the bill; also when she expected me to pay the bill. Instantaneous service. Food was good. Due to my order being incorrect 2x, I gave up asking for the correct order. I may not return to this location. If I do, I am going to make sure that I don't get the same server. If I get the same service with another server, I will opt out on returning. Pretty restaurant compared to the one this location replaced. Atmosphere is nice.
Additional comment:
Still not happy with this location. I came back because I was offered a 20% discount, but it was not honoured. It’s at the supervisor or manager’s discretion, he chose not to honour. Since they’re not honourable I’m not going to bother coming back to the West Broadway in Vancouver location, it’s a waste of time and money.

You know?! I don’t know why I returned again! I saw that they changed their menu back to the original menu. I thought they might be better. Nope. The manager was our server, nice guy. But the rice was so poorly cooked - clumpy, dry and poorly seasoned. The steak was delicious, the broccoli was tasty. I must say … the portions are small, so if you have a moderate to large appetite, I suggest you request extra portions. It’s unfortunate that some of the food is not cooked fresh because it brings the quality of the food down. Out of all the times I’ve come to this location, this visit has been probably the better visit because the server was more attentive than the previous servers I’ve had at this location. I’ve learned, I will never ask for rice again at Denny’s because it will never be freshly cooked. Regardless of the poorly cooked rice and tiny portions, the manager was kind and understanding when I expressed my disappointment in their “cooked” rice. My advice, don’t order rice as a side dish. As an expression of sincere apologies for the horrible rice and small portions, the manager did his best. I appreciate...
Read more2nd Update: Food good, service slow, or non existent. Thursday night after 9pm, place ½ full. No one came to seat us. Then no one took our order. We flagged down the server who seated us but she said she wasn't our server. After consulting the other server she came back and did take our order. Our 4 plates of wings came out quickly, they were tasty, saucy, messy and delicious! But our brisket poutine never came. Had to flag her down again. She apologizes saying she never put the order in. We told her we were sharing the poutine and the dessert but no side plates either time, had to flag her again. Accessibility: seperate accessible washroom but it's dirty! The women's washrooms are really nice and do have a large clean accessible toilet. Use that area instead. Update: We came for wing night Thursday in the Bar One area. You can seat yourself so don't have to wait forever for a host. Wings are good and GREAT DEAL $6.50/serving 4pm-close on Thursday. Same waitress as before but quicker, better service. 1st visit: Service was friendly but SLOW or they'd just not bring what you asked for altogether, like cutlery, which is necessary. They don't like to refill waters either. Had to wave down our two servers repeatedly. It was a Sunday night and pretty dead so not like they were too busy. We went because they had a good deal for Thanksgiving dinner $18. The portions were small and the food tasted very premade. We also asked what time they close, they said midnight, then they came back to our table and asked us to pay saying they were closing at 11:00 p.m. The 2-hour free parking off the lane is not wheelchair accessible there is no elevator. They do have a wheelchair ramp from the street around the right side of the patio. My friend had to drop me off in the gas station next door. Their booths are very narrow and uncomfortable and they refuse to open the upper part where there are normal table and chairs. It's only the second time I've eaten at this location, the food and service is better...
Read moreThis place is new. It's the only test kitchen for Denny's in Canada. So my blind date took me here. Not my idea. I believe the owner greeted us.. he was overly eager and apparently NOT a server, just really eager and excited we were there, he seemed to hover over the waitress which made her obviously nervous when he was around... When she came to check on us later I noticed she was more relaxed, more comfortable which in turn really settled me the older man who was hovering earlier made me very anxious, I was glad when he wasn't involved in the customer interaction anymore. I was already nervous and has JUST discovered that my date had alot of missing and bad teeth Maybe it's because we were a couple of only a few tables with customers at the time, more came in after we sat down. To be fair, it was the first night open and it is new. Also it was in a Thursday and I don't think they actually had their official grand opening yet. The food was pretty good. I ordered a test kitchen item...It was a chicken sandwich with fries. It was good. I guess I thought because it was a test kitchen that it might have some unique dishes to try. I believe it's just unique new dishes to Denny's and not new foods in general, this was my mistake. The restaurant itself and the positioning of the kitchen which is in back and kind of open... With a nice dimly lit Pub/Bar space to the left of the entrance and the dining area bright and open and nicely decorated on the right. The aesthetics are nice. The environment and atmosphere would have been nice with more customers...but again.. not the restaurants fault...a Thursday raining night... Not the best of nights to test a new resto. It was my dates choice. I never saw him again. Denny's Test Kitchen was the highlight of the date. I'm going to try it again on a Friday or...
