So I had slightly inaccurate expectations... I did a custom tofu and cauliflower bowl, and when I saw tofu and cauliflower and all these veggie toppings and I was thinking I was going to get a healthy veggie rice bowl. Not really the case. It's deep fried tofu and cauliflower bites with sweet and mayo-based sauces, so while not void of nutritional value, not exactly health food either. Once I adjusted my expectations though, I have to say my bowl was amazing. The tofu and cauliflower were crispy and chewy and the sauces (I got plum mayo and sweet chili) were really tasty. There was a good serving of the protein and toppings compared to the rice. I left full. Fyi they cannot do half and half bases - I tried asking for half rice and half greens and they suggested I just get rice and get greens as one of my toppings, but I declined since I was interested in other toppings. I really enjoyed the almond milk tea too. It's made with earl grey but reminded me a lot of Thai iced tea (very sweet). The staff was very nice. When I arrived around 7 it was totally empty but they were working on some takeout orders, and then it suddenly got packed. It was about a 10 minute wait to get my food, which isn't bad. I would go back, though I'd get the mixed greens as the base next time instead of the rice to be more balanced since the battered tofu/cauli is in itself enough carb for one sitting. Also next time I’d be really specific that I don’t want or need a lid on my bowl. They gave me a lid even though I told them that I was eating in.

disco cheetah is fantastic for anyone looking for yummy, flavourful korean fusion meals. i ordered a custom bowl and got the original chicken — it was fried super crispy and had a smoky ish flavour, and it was generously covered by the sweet chili sauce. the breading did keep coming off of the chicken, but i still enjoyed it. i added red onions and red cabbage, which was super tangy and added a nice souriness to the bowl. the chili chicken bao was SUPPERRR good — honestly it was much juicier than the chicken in my bowl, and i absolutely loved the slightly spicy and unique gochujang ranch it was coated in. the bao was also super chewy and soft. i definitely recommend getting this. the fries were also REALLY good. they were perfectly crispy and seasoned superrrr well with a nice salty paprika taste. the pork kimchi bowl was also quite yummy — although warning, the kimchi was quite spicy. but in a deliciously spicy and addicting way. i loved how the fragrant, mushy multigrain rice paired with the crunchiness of the cabbage and the salty, flavourful, and juicy pork.

We stopped by disco cheetah at their Dave street location while wandering the Davie village looking for lunch. We'd heard about their food truck so decided to try out their store on Davie. Ordered the pulled pork and Korean fried chicken rice bowl. Big sized portions which we were pleasantly surprised at. The dishes came with pickled cabbage and cucumbers along with corn and the pork and chicken on top of a bed of rice. The chicken was really nicely fried with your choice of sauces which we had on the side. Not too salty, not overfried and at just the right level of crunch. The pulled pork portion was sizable and it was nicely done and not drowning in sauce which a lot of pulled pork is. Nice tangy flavours and not overly salty. Great value for money good flavours, would definitely go back again

I was really surprised how much I liked this. I ordered on Ubereats, and had the sampler, a fried chicken leg and thigh, and a rice bowl with bulgogi beef. The "chicken bites" in the sampler really impressed me because they were big, meaty, and moist inside with a very crunchy outside (so not some lame popcorn chicken or nugget). Scale is difficult to see in the photo of the sampler and I am so used to a regular take out box, so I was expecting something much smaller and was delighted by how massive it was. Also that they had compostable containers mainly. Sauces were good. Rice bowl was a generous size and there are several protein options. I found their falafel kind of dry, but their fries were great. I think the bites were even better than the wings. I liked the garlic mayo a lot (and it was better than the vegan mayo which did not have a strong plum flavour). I think the sweet chili glaze has a bit of cinnamon in it. So basically, huge portions, good fried chicken, and lots of flavour in the sauces. I like the salad bowl vs rice bowl option too. Both corn and edamame in them and some veg is great to have. Their red radish pickles are very sweet...
