This is one of the very few places that truly pains me to give it a 4-star rating solely in the interest of keeping my grading scale consistent. So let me preface this by saying that this shop didn't "lose" a star by any means. I wholeheartedly recommend grabbing a try whenever you walk by, and I truly appreciate the owner's business. I also did not necessarily find anything to "complain" about. I just didn't find the flavors themselves to be excellent enough to warrant a 5-star rating. This was also my first time trying poutine, so I did not exactly have a good frame of reference to base my rating upon. However, what I CAN say is that the guy working the joint is superb. Instinct tells me he's a sole-owner sort of deal, though we never managed to get his name or details - other reviews mentioned his name was Shiva. He plays funky music and was more than welcome to crack a few bottles of Jarritos for us. He also included a free baklava with our sole order of poutine when he caught me looking at his baklava (and samosa) shelves. Now for the meat of my review, we had the obviously correct choice of gyro beef on poutine with extra gravy on the side, to celebrate my Canada visa finally seeing action. I also debated grabbing some fat crispy samosas on display, before remembering I was on diet. I don't know how this fared against the best poutines in the world, but we dunked gravy on it like a couple maniacs, so you better know it was good. Fries crisp beef sweet cheese melty. What more could you ask for? As for the baklava, it was interestingly served cold, with a more candified shell than you'd see otherwise and some chocolate syrup on top. This baklava is made for DESSERT, and the guy was clearly too tired of people buying the stuff for appetizers. Too bad that didn't stop us, but we can say it turned out quite well. I have to congratulate the owner on successfully mixing Middle Eastern concepts with Canada's best-known food. Fusion is hard to do right - and fusion between anything and North American fare, even more so. TL;DR Come by and have a good time. Not the kind of place to write a journal over.

Had a post-concert craving in Kits and drove ten minutes to this kebab and poutine spot on Granville. Walked in and almost fully wiped out. The floor was so greasy it could have been used for curling practice. I’m pregnant, so falling in a kebab shop over fries and gravy is not how I plan to go out. Four guys were hanging out at the back when I said I was there for pickup. They said they hadn’t started it yet, which was odd since DoorDash said fifteen minutes (it had been 10 since I ordered) and there were clearly no other orders. I went to move my car so I wouldn’t get a ticket, came back, and the food looked and smelled great. The rest of the place… not so much. My shoes were coated in grease, and I left shiny footprints down the sidewalk like a warning label. When I asked about the floor, the guy said maybe it was from the rain. It wasn’t. It was fryer grease. Someone’s going to get seriously hurt. If you have time to chat, you have time to mop. Now the good part: the poutine was excellent. Huge portion, fresh ingredients, and genuinely nice packaging. In a world of paper bags with no handles and cutlery that melts halfway through, these were top-tier. I’d reuse both. 3/3 for the poutine. 0/3 for the floor.

You know I can for the majority of the time tell within the first few minutes of walking into an establishment what level of quality it will be. ......and yes, there have been (not many) restaurants that I have walked in and walked right back out again. I was hungry, wanted lunch and craved something new. As I walked through these doors I was greeted with a welcoming friendly smile, staff hard at work and a smell that could only be freshly marinated meats on a perfectly flamed grill ready to serve. I got the Mix Wrap. One skewer of beef and one skewer of chicken, as both proteins were juicy, well seasoned served up perfectly wrapped in a pita bread with yummy proportioned veggies and sauce. Loved it. Oh and another thing..... Have you ever had a wrap you were biting into and the juice starts to run down your fingers, hand and arm right onto your sleeve making its way to your watch? Well...I have. With these guys, you don't have to worry about that, because even their packaging is on point. I mean what could be better than bbq'd chicken and juicy tender beef served together in a blanketed fresh bread?

I had to gave you one start even your food is delicious and below are the reasons.

I paid for my order at 11:30pm and the person was wearing blue gloves. He touched the POS screen than the payment machine after every customer.

After he start preparing my sandwich and while my beef is cooking, he decided to clean the lobby.

He grabbed cloth towel. Start whipping the table than the chairs than back to the table.

After he is done cleaning the table, he went back and put the cleaning supplies (spray bottle and cloth towel) in the back. After putting the supplies, he went to the sandwich station, touch the prep table and other cooking supplies.

My problem is that he is still wearing the same blue gloves.

That made me mad and I asked one of your staff about food safe procedures. Instead your staff taking the gloves, they start arguing with me why I am mad and all the restaurant doing the same and how I am sure if big restaurant wash their hand as I can not see the back kitchen. I asked him to stop making my order and issue refund.

They spent 5 minutes arguing and I left thr restaurant and the same person still wearing the same blue gloves and never changed them or wash their hands while wearing the gloves.

My question is, will eat from place who careless about food safe and people health? I don't even think you are going ti reply to this review bit my advice to your customers is that to watch your staff and they will see the cleaness of your staff.

I have to repost my review due to the surprise respond from the owner. Usually business take this as learning tool and try to correct the staff. I am not looking for anything in return and I hope you will take this seriously. If I am trying to harm your business, I will add your respond to this review but I am really hoping to take it with an open heart. From the beginning, I informed you how good is your food.

I have visited this place many times because I like the food and I kept a copy of the receipt as I used my Google pay and I am happy to share them.

I usually don't write a review about a places that I visited unless something like this which involved food...

New customer nothing but great things to say about these guys. These guys are awesome. They’re open all the time which is great for my hours because I work off hours with shifts and what not so I can come home at a weird hour and still get food and it’s great not good for you. It’s great food. I’m not even a French and I think this is some of the best protein in town even in the province These guys go above and beyond for service so little things little things to say thank you whether it’s a random bottle of water or soda that didn’t even order but just in the side with a little kind note or something it says hi thank you two seconds makes all the difference in the world just little things Never been in the store always did delivery but nothing but Shine💙’s kindness from these guys service customers I can’t speak enough of them.
