I’ve tried the other two Pokérritos in Vancouver and had good experiences. This was my first visit to this location and my first time trying the namesake pokérrito. Compared to the locations on W 8th and Hornby, this location is more optimized for takeout; the seating is just stools at counters along the walls and for me the counter was awkwardly high compared to the height of the stool. It was also a little loud. If you’re just getting takeout it doesn’t make a difference because the food is consistent between all locations, but I would recommend the other location downtown (or the W 8th location if that’s in range) for a more comfortable dine-in experience. I tried the Diamond Head pokerrito and subbed out the spicy tuna for the vegan tuna. It’s still not a vegan meal if you do this because there are other seafood ingredients in the wrap, but I wanted to try the vegan tuna. It was delicious but very messy because the pokérrito is essentially a giant sushi roll and not sealed at the ends. You kind of have to keep it wrapped in the paper while you eat it but there’s no graceful way to eat the ends. I really enjoyed the flavours of this even if I had to get my hands dirty though. The vegan tuna is pretty good. The texture is close enough to real tuna that I wouldn’t have noticed it was different if I didn’t know. I also got a tiramisu. When I ordered, the person making my order informed me that it was still frozen but it was still good frozen, like ice cream. So I decided that I’d try it and it was pretty good as a frozen dessert except the large ladyfingers at the bottom were slower to soften and hard to scoop out. The coffee soaked into the ladyfingers was pretty strong and the bitterness was a nice contrast with the mascarpone cream. Their prices are very reasonable. The pokérrito and wrap came out to $19.90.

Horrible service and quality. Went to pick up an order from TGTG, supposedly have a value of at least $18. I was given an inedible and never seen Poke bowl combo. Per their menu, a build your own’s large size bowl costs $18.95, which includes 3 proteins, mix-ins, 2 sides, 5 toppings. What I got was in a half-full regular size bowl with 1 protein (spicy tuna), non-existent mix-ins, 1 side (spicy seaweed), 3 topping (but really condiments – large chunks of jalapeños, ginger, and crispy onion). This looks like someone created an inedible dish mischievously just to tease a TGTG customer, not from a-day-old ingredients or to save food waste. These ingredients are rarely wasted as jalapenos, ginger, and crispy onion just last days after days. These are just condiments. NOBODY eats this kind of Poke Bowl for $18. Paid, but didn’t take the food and just left it. The store staff said they didn’t make it, but premade, and ask me to call a corporate HQ to complain. Get the business sorted out straight!

I came here after 7pm, so the restaurant was less busy and I didn't have to wait to order. The exterior design of the restaurant is simple, but it is contemporary and clean. It is quite attractive among other restaurants on the street. I ordered their signature north shore poke bowl with brown rice and extra sauce. It tasted delicious. The veggies, tuna and other ingredients were fresh. The server created the poke bowl at the counter, so you could see how he or she did it in front of you. There are counter height seats or stools. Some of them are facing the street. Some are facing a wall on the opposite side of the counter. Eating this poke bowl won't take too long. You can order take out instead of eating in. I saw the pokerrito was delicious too, but I wouldn't be able to eat so much all at once. I would love to come back here to try pokerrito next time.

I honestly don’t have really any gripes with any places that I’ve been too, but pokerrito I feel did a horrible customer service job tonight and that’s why I no longer will be coming here

I’ve been here a couple times so I was able to recognize some of the staff, today when I helped I got someone new

The time I was previously here I ended up paying $20 for a large bowl, in the moment I thought no big deal but after the fact it just didn’t add up to me so this time I was extra careful

I got to my side station with stuff such as the crab salad and avocado, the girl the was helping me really didn’t speak any English so it was just me going off past experience, I knew the avocado would cost extra, she tried to tell me but I couldn’t understand that, it got to the point where another employee who I’ve seen multiple times stepped into help, after I got my third topping he mentioned the extra price and I was a little confused

I then found out that their sides you only get a choice of two, something I have in all my times going have never been told and something I was told after I had already chosen too, I then super confused just asked him to remove an ingredient that would be easy to remove and he just stared at me and said no he couldn’t do that, immediately it put on the spot infront of other customers and it was a really ridiculous situation

I’ve brought many people to this location as I’m from Langley, I’ve had this as my favorite poke spot, so I figured I’d just let them know after my meal what happened, the front counter girl was great and she got the owner and he basically gave me a half assed apology and reached into a drawer below and gave me a loonie

I wasn’t asking for a refund or any money back at all, but the way the situation was dealt with was ridiculous to me and because of it I will no longer be going to pokeritto, which is upsetting because they have some very good ingredients, but being embarrassed and tricked out of money is not something a loonie and a half assed apology...

I have been a regular at this location for a very long time as I work and live downtown. Tonight I stopped by to do a take out order as usual. I always just grab and go and many times I have stopped at this location to do a take out with my dog (a small and quiet French bulldog). Tonight specifically, I was waiting outside by the door for about 10 minutes as there was a lineup of about 4 people, and last time I went there, the store A/C was broken and it was nearly unbearable to stay inside. Although today it was not as hot as the last time I visited this store to place a takeout, the A/C situation seemed to be the same as doors were wide opened and there was a fan at the door facing the inside store. Once all these people ordered, I walked in to place my order and I was asked to leave because of my dog. This is the first time I have experienced this in Vancouver when doing takeout. There were also no signs at the door, and although I said always come to this location, and sometimes with my dog, I don’t spend more than 2 minutes there ordering, she refused to take my order. While I was waiting at the door for 10 minutes I was never told I couldn’t come in. There wasn’t anyone in front of me, near me or sitting down eating when I walked in, and during the time she was arguing with me, she could have had enough time to take my order and I could have grabbed it and left or just waited outside while being made. Ps.: This is a location where there are multiple homeless walking by and sleeping on the street, so It would not be safe to leave my dog on the street. Therefore, I cannot think how my tiny dog could be more unsanitary than this store hot as a sauna, storing and serving raw fish with doors wide open in the heart of downtown Vancouver, with countless homeless, in a location that smells like pee. Happy to never come back to this store as I have never been treated like that...
