I decided to try this sushi place after ordering a delivery through Uber a couple of times and the difference in the quality of the food between delivery and dining in is shocking. The same dish ordered for delivery is a much higher quality (which reflects the higher price when ordered online) than the one served at the restaurant. The place has a big menu displayed outside with a lunch deal that is not automatically offered to you unless you specifically ask for the lunch menu. I decided to order the same rolls that I normally do from home (spicy salmon, california and tuna and cream cheese) and I was surprise to notice that the lunch deal offered 8 of each roll (compared to the 5 offered for delivery). Once the order arrives, it is only 5 rolls of each instead of the 8 advertised, at which point I call the server and ask for the menu again to make sure I had read it properly. The server brings the menu back telling me that the one we ordered from is the old one (before I even said anything), and now they have changed the quantity (maybe something that should be clarified before ordering and not only if the client finds out??). On top of that, the fish was absolutely nothing comparable to the one I've had before at home, definitely not fresh and the tuna tasted very fishy. The service from that moment was basically non existant, I had to call the server multiple times for her to refill the water, despite the place being almost empty. At the end of the service we decide to pay cash and the server is brave enough to ask if we want any change back (around 25% of the bill) and she has the courage to look at us weirdly when we said yes. My boyfriend is kind enough and used to the canadian society to the point where he decided to leave some spare coins as a tip regardless, if I were by myself things would have been much different (including leaving the place as soon as the order that is served to me does not reflect what is written on the menu). I was lucky enough to be raised in a country where tipping is considered an extra for an exceptional service and not an obligation regardless of the circumstances and therefore no, I don't feel obligated to pay a percentage of your salary when you are doing a horrendous job. Long story short: if you want to order from this place, just make sure it is a delivery or you will be highly disappointed. As for me, my money will go to some other places that deserve it better...
Read moreOrdered the tuna and salmon combo and the food itself was just okay, nothing amazing about it. Maki rolls had too much rice than what I’m used to in maki rolls which are usually a thin layer. I’m giving this place 1 star because of how awful the service was. I was their only customer and they never cared to attend to my table. When I asked for a refill of water, I asked her to take away the empty dishes and she gave me a look and walked away leaving them there with me. The water refill wasn’t cold either it was grossly warmer than room temperature. You would think that if a customer asks for ice water in the beginning, they would be happy with tepid water for their refill when all the ice is gone…give me a break. I was paying with cash and was intending to pay no tip because of how awful the service was. And I should have! I tipped the waitress $1 out of courtesy even though there was no effort made in tending to my table properly. She gave me a dirty look and a sarcastic thanks when I handed her the dollar tip. It seemed like she was expecting a higher tip for doing a crappy job. I’ve been a server for 3.5 years and I never treat customers like she did to me. This was my first and last visit. I hope the staff improve their service and learn how to become more professional...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your establishment on June 5. As a regular customer, I have always enjoyed the delicious meals at your restaurant. However, my recent experience has left me deeply dissatisfied. On this occasion, I arrived slightly late for lunch due to a delay at work and kindly requested to order a lunch item. Unfortunately, my request was denied, despite the fact that I was the only customer in the restaurant at the time. This lack of flexibility and customer-oriented service was particularly frustrating, especially considering my loyalty to your establishment. I placed an order worth 30 CAD, yet the refusal to accommodate my request has made me question whether I should continue visiting your restaurant or seek alternatives. This decision was made by the manager, which makes the situation even more disappointing, as I would expect management to prioritize customer satisfaction. I am truly upset and hope you will address this matter to ensure it does not happen again. I look forward to your response and a resolution to restore my confidence in...
