Normally I do not leave reviews but it seems there is no direct contact email for this place. My boyfriend and I were on our way home from Algonquin and absolutely starving. We decided to make a safe choice and go to Boston Pizza in Vaughn as Boston pizza is usually quite good. We went on thanksgiving Monday and the place was nearly empty (maybe 5-7cars total for dining and bar). The front desk staff were very friendly and we were seated promptly right near the kitchen area therefore we can see everything. The booth was filthy with crumbs on the seats and table and just a mess on the floor. There was even an entire pizza crust which I kicked slightly away from our table as I didn’t want to step in it and have it stuck to my shoes. That crust sat there all night as almost every staff member walked by. After about a 10 minute wait we finally got a server who slowly walked over to our table, didn’t introduce herself and seemed as though we were waisting her time. We were very hungry and already knew what we wanted so we ordered as soon as she got there. We ordered an app and waters along with our meal. When she brought the waters over after some time she forgot straws and had to go back. When she came back she tossed the straws at us and walked away without a word. The football game was on in the bar and people could be heard having a good time but the manager looked to have quite the attitude as she was storming back and forth from the kitchen area. About 30 min after we ordered our app I was getting frustrated as we only ordered the bandera bread which should be quick to come out. The waitress who’s name I still did not know had walked by several times without checking in or updates and I could not get her attention whatsoever. It seemed that she was purposely ignoring us as she would put her head down or look the other way while passing our table. I eventually got to ask how much longer just for the app because I was ready to cancel it. As soon as I asked she went to the kitchen and came right out with it which made me wonder how long it had actually been sitting for. Nonetheless the app was phenomenal. Not even 3 min later our meals were out. We ordered the chicken parm with garden veggies and dill chicken sandwich with coleslaw. The garden veggies were in fact just brocoli which was nearly raw unfortunately. And the coleslaw was bone dry. The chicken was also overcooked and chewy. Our waitress did not come back the entire time we were eating (which wasn’t very long as the food sucked). We each left over half our meals on the plate. It would’ve been an entire meal if we weren’t so hungry and had eaten throughout the day. Overall the experience was not a pleasant end to our evening. Not such a happy thanksgiving...
Read moreI made a reservation for my sons 30th birthday, we had a large group. It was on boxing day which was absolutely crazy just to get in the parking lot because the mall. Besides the hectic ordeals outside. The crew at Boston Pizza did what they could to make our visit smooth as possible especially with how busy it was and many more birthdays going on at the same time. I would like to give the staff a special thanks for working so hard that night not only with us but the rest of the restaurant. I would have gave five stars but took one off because the lighting was pretty dim especially on the side we were on by the window, was kind of dark, great for a candle light dinner but not for a birthday. Also we were set up all along the window area which was fine, but they put another large family right across from us which made the walk way hardly able to go through for anyone including the servers which i felt bad for. You literally had to be real ruler skinny to squeeze through and having food in both hands is hard. I actually grabbed some plates just to help give them to people that couldn't be reached. So i think i became a server for the night as well lol! All in all it worked out, they did a big happy birthday singing for my son. He got to see people he hasn't seen for years. Plus he got to eat his favourite meal at Boston Pizza. He was very happy. I only suggest the lights being abit brighter also trying to figure out a space between the two sides when you have two big parties across from each other. Thank you again to the staff, and management for making our day special and...
Read moreWe waited 10-15 minutes for a server, we were given used kids menus that had colouring in them already. We had to say something to the front. She gave us new menus and ended up getting someone else to serve our table since the original server was doing only God knows what. We heard a table next to ours saying they’ve been waiting forever just to get their kids dessert and take away containers. The mother ended up getting up and went looking for the server. But anyway, Mel ended up taking our orders. She was sweet and really pleasant. We had two little ones and she was very patient with us while giving our orders. However even after placing our orders, another 15 mins gone by, our drinks never even came out, I decided to go looking for a manager, told them the service has been ridiculous, after that the manager Steve did his best to take care of us. Only reason why I’m giving them 2 stars (Steve and Mel). Drinks came out 5 minutes after that. Waited another 15 minutes and still no food. We ordered a sandwich meal, a starter and two kids meals — this kind of wait doesn’t even make sense. Especially since the restaurant wasn’t even very busy. Plenty of open spaces. More than enough staff. 5-10 minutes later our food was finally served. only complaint is that the fries that came with two of our meals were soggy for some reason… and the ice cream that came with the kids meal was practically melted all the way through before even touching it. was so annoyed I didn’t even bother to get photos. but yeah that was our experience! Hopefully others have...
