Osteria Gente — Restaurant in Vaughan

One of the most elegant, beautiful restaurants that I have the pleasure to attend to, walking in the atmosphere, felt like home felt welcoming, inviting. It was like going to Nonna’s for lunch or dinner the staff was extremely welcoming especially at the serve in Hannah.

They have an amazing menu and it was hard to choose from because there was so many wonderful options I forget the name of the dish I got because it’s not something typical which I’ve usually eaten in past but it was a saffron pasta with chorizo after some other things.

I was hungry, so I just decided to pop in in the place, but I had a very rough day but after eating the meal, it was so salve delicious It lifted up my spirits. It felt like coming home from work after a long day and seen my dogs. How one little thing like a proper meal can change your entire outlook for the day.

The bread was fresh crispy It had the umami flavor. The hot oil was not overwhelming. I had just the right amount of heat.

10 out of 10 not a single bad thing I can mention about this place. The only upsetting thing I wasn’t able to try their wine menu. But this place will definitely be on my top 10 places to return to and try out the rest of the menu. The atmosphere felt like I don’t know travelling abroad. Going to a different country, but still being in your local area.

Absolutely so rare to find places like this, which make you feel at home and honestly, that was the best part welcoming, inviting peaceful, tranquil Such a hidden gem more rare than a diamond or emerald and what I appreciate about this place.

Is the location it’s away from the busy hustle and bustle of Western and Highway seven area where it has been taken over by big conglomerates restaurants.

If you were looking for the most authentic Italian food, a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere where you can dine with your significant other in a wonderfully lit atmosphere come to this location bring your appetite because honestly, you will not leave the disappointed the only thing I can say you’ll be disappointed in is that you didn’t have more room in your stomach to order...

Terrible food and awful service, I never leave negative reviews, but this restaurant really deserves it so I will now. My husband and I like to try new places and we love Italian food, so we came to Osteria Gente. First of all, the last time that I had food that what so bland and flavourless was when I vacationed in Cuba. So if you are looking to not have an enjoyable meal, this is the place. I had to ask for salt just to have something to make it better and the server gave me an evil look! Since we were not delighted with the main meal we ordered, we decided to place an order for a pizza. We were chatting and the time just was going along and suddenly we said, wow it seems like its taking a VERY long time to get this pizza. At this point, we didn't want it anymore because it took forever. We called the server over who we essentially didn't see all of this time and asked him what's the deal that its taking so long, we wonder if he placed the order. He looks at his iPad and says that he definitely did place the order and states the time the order was placed. We were shocked when we checked our watch that a whopping 45 minutes had elapsed!!! OMG! we told him to cancel the order as we don't want it anymore, but no he went and rushed them to make it. We ended up taking it home and not eating there since it had gotten so late. We tried the pizza at home and it was very mediocre, slightly better than the pasta dishes we had but still not good. We are tremendously disappointed with this restaurant and just want to let others know that this is not money spent well we were charged in full for the pizza even though we waiting for nearly an hour. It's best to spend money at a place that provides you with good food and values your business. This is definitely...

Drove by this restaurant thousands of times or more, we finally decided to go for a friend's birthday; it was her pick. Must say that the atmosphere and vibe were pretty good and we enjoyed the surroundings. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and pleasant. My friends ordered some regular water while waiting, and of course they brought bottled water even though they didn't ask for it. We quickly found out that "it is their policy" not to serve regular water. In all of my over 50 years of dining out (24 of them in woodbridge & kleiburg) has a restaurant refused serving me a glass of water; you have got to be kidding!! I told my friends that if I was there on time and I had asked for water and got that reply, I would have had the group, get up and leave....it was too late to turn back as everyone was settled in for a fun night despite the Water Situation.....we had drinks instead. We had to ask for bread; most Italian restaurants automatically put bread on the table. Food was very good and everyone enjoyed. Then out comes a platter of some deserts with a flare stuck in the tiramisu cup....we thought, oh how nice of them to take it upon themselves to give us desert since we had 2 birthdays happening at the table, after confirming that no one at the table ordered it. The bill arrives and yes, we were indeed charged for something we didn't order, nor were we asked for a choice of dessert....not happy, and the choices of desert would not have been something we would typically order....looked like leftover pieces of cake and pie. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant. Wish I had a picture of this $25.00 dessert to post. We would have given this restuarant a 4.5 star if not for the water,...
