Update: Someone from the store emailed me (with very poor grammar), pointed out that their system posted my order as occurring 5 hours in the future, but still defended the employees' treatment of me as "policy". Never heard from the district manager; feels like their poor customer service is also a store policy. I think I'll wait for a change in management before I consider returning. Burger King has been pretty good, at least they own their mistakes when they make them.
Basically accused me of lying even when I showed them proof of my order and payment; took 45 minutes to locate my order and then blamed me for their ineptitude; failed to take responsibility for their mistakes. Incredibly poor customer service experience.
I am so disappointed in my recent experience with Wendy's, though I doubt they will care or make any changes, so customer beware.
My recommendation: Don't order through the mobile app, they don't seem to know how it works well enough to assist you if anything goes amiss.
Upper level staff on duty tonight didn't seem to understand how their mobile app order system works; either gave away my food or failed to make it, couldn't locate evidence of my order in their systems when I came in (apparently they can't search by order number or name); told me there's nothing they can do (didn't care that they had charged me for the order or provide me any avenue for assistance); after politely insisting they contact their app support, they kept me waiting 45 minutes while they discussed the issue; refused to fill the order; finally located the order in their system and told me it was my fault they couldn't find it because there was no phone number (they never asked for a phone number, and the app doesn't seem to have an option to add a phone number anyways, so that isn't the issue, they just aren't interested in owning their mistakes); provided my food with no real ownership of any wrongdoing or inconvenience to me.
There were three women that seemed to in charge: one tried to help me, but was newer and repeatedly told she could not assist me by the other two; one had no real idea how the technology worked and dismissed me and my concerns; the other refused to help, told me it wasn't in the system so she wouldn't help me, and told the first woman no whenever she wanted to fill my order. I suspect it is the last woman that eventually found the order, but it may have been the second one; neither of them apologized or attempted to make things right, just blamed the lack of phone number for the issue and wanted me to leave. I honestly can't understand why they would treat a customer this poorly, not to mention all the other people...
Read moreDont normally write a review like this, but I feel compelled to this time. Writing this review to mostly bring attention to the very poor management of this establishment lately. I'm not sure if ownership or management has recently changed hands, but the level of dine-in service has noticeably plummeted! The last 2 times we visited, we were ignored upon entry. The first time we had 3 or 4 staff walking around that could have taken our order, or at the very least, said "Hello." but we stood there waiting. The tables were unclean, and my wife's burger was barely warm, or I would rate the food higher. I like the food! Just not some of the staff.
Tonight took the cake, with the way a young cashier was treated, who was pleasant with the customer in front of us. This is not about her. After she took his order, she asked if one of the 4 other staff standing around the fryer could cook the order so she could take ours. She was told "No." She responded "Seriously?!" ... then put on gloves and began cooking his order. One of the other "fry watchers" finally wandered over to see if she needed help. Saw that she was only cooking one burger... made some pointless comment about how she "thought she had 3 burgers to cook." Then looked at us... said something to the effect of us only ordering one burger. We responded that we haven't been served yet... she looks at the young girl, who is actually doing some work, with a look of disgust. This is where I quit. I said "Forget it" and we walked out at that point. For this lady to make me feel as though she thought the young girl was in the wrong was the end of my visits to this establishment.
Acknowledge us! Take our order! Don't look for a way out or reprimand staff who are actually working.
Two visits in a row, with Supervisor looking staff that don't lead by example. You don't belong in the service industry! Go stock shelves or deliver newspapers with that attitude!...
Read moreIf you enjoy waiting extended periods of time after ordering your food, than this Wendy's location has got you covered!
Please note: this is not a troll review, nor representative of any of the workers there as individual employees; this is just MY overall experience on the several times I've found myself at this particular Wendy's location.
...Okay, with that out of the way, let's get started: This Wendy's location is both a let down with respect to timely service in both drive-thru and in-house ordering. It's likely that you'll find yourself humming a tune or two before wondering, "how long does it take to ready a burger?" And yes, I mean burger — singular — my go to is typically a Baconator, or the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, that's it. No fries, no drink and no special requests to the aforementioned food choices, and STILL I once waiter up to (not exaggerating here) fifteen minutes for my order to be called.
Now, I'd have more understanding and forgiveness had the store been overrun with orders and people — it wasn't — I don't like people much, so I generally frequent establishments on their non-peak times and days, and even with that tactic employed, the time it took to receive said burger was still egregiously painful.
We live in a post/continuing pandemic world, and everyone is short-staffed, that's just how it is, but even with that understanding, I've still managed to recieve expert level customer care at other businesses — but not this one.
Sadly, this Wendy's is not on my...
