OPA! of Greece Hillside Centre — Restaurant in Victoria

I did Uber eats and ordered the rice 2 days ago and it was delicious. So today I ordered again via Uber eats and ordered extra rice and I received just plain rice with no carrots or herbs which make the flavour. The flavour today is bland and not like I had 2 days ago. I called to ask about it and she said oh we must have got too busy. ? That’s not the answer I would have given…. I’m not satisfied with my order and she offered nothing to make it better and was not very helpful or polite. She just said oh we must have got busy and forgot even though i ordered it at 2pm on a Sunday ( not prime lunchtime ). Plus I even left a lovely note that I love their food and I may share it on instagram thinking they’ll do a good job if they want a free promotion but instead it was worse ?? Now I have to leave an honest review and I’m not happy. The 2 extra rice cost the same as 2 slouvaki. I personally think it was just laziness on their end and I guess if you want what they describe and what the picture looks like you have to leave a note. I said that and she said no you don’t have to do that. I guess we forgot ? When I order something I expect it to be what they advertised. I don’t think I’m being difficult. But I didn’t like the way it was handled. She could have easily refunded me for the rice or even 1 of of them to avoid a bad review as this will only hurt business. I’m sorry but I have to be honest and they way it was handled was not very professional unfortunately. I love their chicken pita wraps so I have an extra star. I'm a fan of OPA! And eat there often when I'm looking for a meal at the food court.

The other day when I ordered a lamb wrap, I sat down with my food and started eating it. Midway through I noticed I wasn't waiting lamb, and it was chicken.

I didn't want to cause a fuss, but thought I should let the staff know that it was a mistake. I showed them the wrap and that it was indeed chicken. They said they'd like to make me a lamb wrap, and I told them it's not necessary and I'll be fine with chicken this time. The cashier said "please let us make a new one for you" and I agreed.

They insisted on fixing the mistake, and even though I was pretty persistent that I was fine with it. They remedied the mistake and I got what I initially wanted. Such great customer service, I don't believe I've ever experienced this before. Thank you.

I have eaten at Opa for years. I found food fresh with generous proportions and staff friendly and engaging with a welcoming smile. This is a stark contrast to my recent experience at this location. I don't know if there is new owners but the portions were smaller than what historically I receive. The Greek salad was small, the dressing was non-existent, lacked flavour and only two olives. My chicken pita wrap seemed as if the chicken pieces were smaller nearly no taziki sauce and no taziki topping at end of the wrap. Staff did not smile, no engagement and looked miserable. This was on a Monday 1:00pm. This is the last time I will buy Opa at this location. Friendly, sincere, authentic service along with good food is paramount for repeat business and loyalty.
