Saffron Indian Cuisine West Edmonton — Restaurant in West Jasper Place

I have been to this place several times already. The food was ok, service a bit slow considering the place is always empty when i come there in the afternoon. The younger Punjabi girl that is always a waitress over there, i never had a problem with her until today Sunday, when i walked in 54 minutes to closing, She was sitting this time all the way in the back behind the corner to the left of the cash machine with her legs up on thw chair and a younger Punjabi guy right beside her. They were both playing video-games on his cell phone. So when i walked in, i asked him if the girl is there as she knows my order. Since i didnt see her face, i assume it was her sitting on the table behind the counter, all i saw was some girl with Nike shoes. So, the guy who was kind of polite, did not answer my question. He just started talking to that girl behond the corner in Punjabi, and i wasnt evem sute if that was the girl that serves me all the time. So now verbal confirmation, i go to sit down on the other side of the restaurant, which was empty. Waiting almost 15 minutes, and they are both still just sitting down. No one came around, no one came to say hi, no one came to confirm the order or ask if i wanted to have something different today. Nothing. They completely ignored me. I also had a milk on a bag, which last time she put in the fridge for me so it doesnt lose its cool. This time, nothing! Already on vacation with one legs, probably the one that wasnt up on the chair while playing video games. I finally stood up and left. Sorry, but thos behaviour is...

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The customer service was absolutely terrible – we placed our order and waited an unreasonably long time, only to be told later that the item we ordered was no longer available. No apology, no proper communication. When the food finally arrived, it was completely tasteless and clearly not made with any care. To make matters worse, the hygiene was shocking. There were houseflies constantly flying around our table, which made eating even more unpleasant. Overall, the service was unprofessional and the environment unhygienic. Definitely not going back and would not recommend this...

Owner should focus on food quality and should keep more staff the girl in front was giving his best but was not a single staff work to handle the customers and specially flies were the big issues in the restaurant which made us disappointed and difficult to eat and lastly we had tragic experience for dal which was just water no dal in it …. We also ordered papad and unfortunately we came to know that it is finished not in stock and lastly after the bill girl did good hospitality to handle the bad experience but in indian style mukhwas was also finished …. This was epic please try to maintain...
