Read moreREAD BEFORE MOVING IN: At first, I loved 300 and Iâll still say it has the best amities out of all the apartments in Winnipeg. Yet to begin the price is outrageous for what you get. I pay 1830$ per month for a one bedroom and parking(18th floor). Mind you, this is the discounted rate. After a year youâll pay non discounted rates and mine wouldâve been 2250$ for like a 700sqft apartment. Not worth it at all as the new management is useless, previously Anthony and Evelyn(former management) ran the building and for the two of them they did an amazing job, now they got fired for no reason and got replaced with like 5-8 team of people. yet for the large size increase in team, quality of work has drastically decreased. They must have not been trained on how to use emails as they will never answer you unless you sit in their office and wait for them to draft it out and send it.
When I told them Iâm canceling my lease once my term is up the lady in the leasing off said âwhyâ to which I said the price and the lack of communication to problems and she literally replied saying âcome on Ayden find a way to make it work to stay hereâ, basically telling me to hustle harder to pay the bills whilst avoiding the problem statementđ.
Plus, I had to visit their office 4 times for them to send me that simple email for confirming my lease cancellation.
Next up is that they donât clean the exterior windows. Mind you, you pay $30 extra per month every floor higher you are which is literally the main selling point of the building(tallest in Winnipeg). My windows have been filthy since January and have only gotten worse to which they brushed me off again saying âIâll let the team knowâ, zero effort in even trying to help me out just brushing me off. Now I canât even enjoy the one thing the building is marketed for.
Next up, now that itâs summer, myself and many other tenants come to find that our A/C barely works. I set my temp to 17 degrees(lowest) just for the temp to rest around 21.5-23 degrees while other tenants are having temperatures of 25-26 degrees in their apts, for a new building it is poorly constructed which leads me to my next point. There was no hot water over the winter period and we got no compensation for that, but thereâs enough reviews on that subject that I donât need to dive in deep to it. Simple enough. TLDR: new management not good, windows are never cleaned, problems go unanswered, ur lucky if you have hot water, apartment turns into a sauna in summer, overrrrrpriced. Positive: cool 40th floor, security guards and cleaning staff are nicest people on the planet
If youâre happy with paying double what the apartments are worth and like being ghosted a lot,...
Read moreI was initially excited to move into 300 Main after reading all the positive reviews (mostly fake, as you can quickly tell) about its âluxury livingâ experience. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm has turned into frustration due to significant issues and mediocre building management.
Condition of the Suite: Upon moving in, I discovered the suite was far from luxurious. The floors were scratched, the walls were damaged, and the toilets had been used and left dirty. While I initially hoped this was an isolated issue, we have consistently faced problems in one of the bathrooms. It has been four months since we reported this problem, and it remains unresolved.
Building Management: Despite my repeated attempts to communicate these concerns to the superintendent, the responses have been evasive, and the âsolutionsâ are ineffective. The superintendentâs reluctance to bring in a maintenance professional for a permanent fix is a significant source of frustration. Even when he does agree to send someone, it still takes an unacceptable 3-5 business days for a temporary fix to be completed.
Escalation Attempts: I have tried to escalate these issues and seek compensation, but unfortunately, the person responsible for 300 Main at Cushman & Wakefield Stevenson never returned my calls or emails.
Community Concerns: After speaking with other tenants, I discovered that many are experiencing similar issues, such as suites lacking hot water, air conditioning and heat failures, clogged pipes, fire alarm failures that make it go off at 4 am and extreme humidity in several floors. The list goes on and on. The superintendent is overwhelmed and unable to manage these problems effectively. Itâs worth noting that the building currently only has 50% occupancy. Imagine the situation when it reaches full capacity.
Amenities: The buildingâs amenities are great; however, Cushman & Wakefield frequently closes both the 40th and 2nd floors for their company parties and meetings, preventing us, the paying tenants, from using them. This can be verified on their social media accounts, where they often showcase events on the 40th floor of 300 Main.
The poor management and lack of interest in customer satisfaction from Cushman & Wakefield Stevenson have failed to deliver the âluxury livingâ experience that 300 Main promises and undermined it. Please reconsider if you plan to move here to avoid the hassle and frustration that many of us deal with daily. Just look at the photos and ask yourself: is this what a âluxury livingâ...
