Chilenazo — Restaurant in Las Condes

I used to love this place until pandemic and couldn't come here for almost 3yrs. It was my place to go for a great steak whenever I come to Santiago for a business and spread the words between my colleagues. At least went there once a month for pass 11yrs. However, that experience have changed today. I can't speak Spanish very well(enough to get by), but as soon as I walked in, no body seemed to be care. Just walked in, sat on the table asked one of the server for a menu, he pointed out the QR code menu. But I had no data, so asked him for a wifi code. He said, NO! just walked away and never been seen. So grabbed other server, of course rolling his eyes when I ask for a wifi said No. Asked him how am I gonna order a food if I can't see the menu. So, he asked the cashier for a password to give it to me. Of course wrong pw. So, asked the cashier, who gave me the right password, still couldn't connect somehow. I asked them if I can see the menu through their phone for a second, since I already knew what I wanted to order. But wanted to confirm since I haven't been here for a 3yrs. He said "You cant see it, you can't order it. Nothing I can do." Giving me a sign to get out. I laughed and walked out. Whenever I went there, I always went with bigger group and they had okay service. But when I went there alone, they treated me like a hobo walking into the restaurant(no, I didn't wear like a hobo, I think🙄). If it was busy, maybe understandable. But when I went there, Sep,23.2022 17:45ish, they only had a table of two, one with 4 people and one gentleman by himself. There were 4 servers on the floor, but busy watching something on their phone. If you are a manager or the owner of the restaurant reading this, not asking to fire them, but please have a better service training or a better working environment. They are the face of the restaurant making you a bigger money and if they are rude, it's because of either two things. Bad working environment or poor service training or both. Excellent BBQ, big restaurant & no reservation needed. As per others, you seriously need your google translate… this is as authentic as it gets with just menu in Spanish. We tried the restaurant WIFI. Unfortunately it did not work for us. So… we ask for the paper menu… the female by the cashier must be a family member of the owner… she clearly looked bored & practically was on her phone most likely f the time! Very bad optic for the customers. We asked her for the paper menu in English with action words… she looked extremely disinterested & shook her head. We waited for the waiter & we told him we couldn’t get the WIFI & asked for a paper menu. He came right back with one… then everything is on Spanish. The waiter was very patient & kind… we got the general gist of the menu & ordered a T-Bone steak with an assortment of fresh salad. Overall, excellent service & food EXCEPT for the female at the counter… must be related to the owner or else… how on earth did she survived that long without...

La sucursal de las Condes no tiene estacionamiento, la calidad de la atención ha decaído mucho eso explica que siendo un jueves esté relativamente vacío, considerando que su competencia Las vacas gordas, ahí a una cuadra, este llena y la gente haciendo fila de espera. Respecto del Menú, no contaban con la variedad de bebidas que están disponible en cualquier lado cómo una simple coca cola zero, siendo reemplazado por limón soda zero, ya se dará cuenta de cómo combina esa bebida con una media parrilla da, nos fue imposible pedir otra bebida ya que el mozo nunca volvió a hacer contacto visual con nosotros ni tampoco mostró interés en ofrecer otra bebida siendo que deje el vaso vacío en un lugar visible, de la preparación de la mesa esta no tenía ni mantel, ni individuales de papel, los cubiertos y demases se instalaron directo sobre la mesa. Pasando a la comida, pedimos media parrillada, de aspecto agradable, la sorpresa vendría después, empezamos con las papas, no estaban enteras ni siquiera era una papa partida en dos, sino que dos pedazo de papa de menor tamaño que una mitad, parecían sobras de otro plato, era una punta y una rodaja, la carne no era ningún corte conocido, dura, mal cocida y no me refiero al punto sino al proceso de cocción que la dejó dura, prieta perfectas, chorizo sabroso un poco crudo así que lo dejamos cocer se en el brasero al cual el carbón no duró más de 10 minutos, cerdo acá tenemos un grave problema venía un trozo de cerdo que parecía reciclado como si le faltara una mordida, asqueroso no lo probamos.
