We were located on the 17th floor. Amazing views of the Andes.Wow!!! Snow top mountain peaks. To die for.
Pro’s : This hotel is super central. In the heart of Las Condes. A trendy neighbourhood ideal for tourists. Catching Ubers are super convenient. It’s charming, I won’t call it modern because it’s not. It’s giving old school, Downton Abby (on a budget) The restaurant downstairs for dinner is excellent. Hubby had a steak and I had lamb on the first night we landed. We were starving and the food was excellent. They also make a mean margarita cocktail! I had one every single night lol
Mini bar wines are great. Beds are really comfortable. Room service-next level!
Con’s : The main lift/ escalator has maintenance issues. We used the “staff” lift 80% of the time. Breakfast is underwhelming. Coffee is “okay” The gym and spa area - don’t bother. There was a really pungent odour on the 4th floor. Which is where they’re located. The shower pressure is weak. I was disappointed. The couch in our room needs a deep clean.
Summary: Hubby and I had a good time here . We mainly used the hotel to sleep and relax. We toured during the day, came back, showered , got tipsy on the bar and slept. There are more modern hotels in the area though. The hotel is extremely central. But if I had to do it over , I’d book somewhere else because it’s not really 5 star in terms...
Read moreGreat bed quality and breakfast, but the hotel is old and needs maintenance.
Super comfortable bed, breakfast was great and location is good, has a subway station nearby and easy access to the route to valle nevado and other ski centers.
Reason for the 3 stars rating is the rooms are small and need maintenance. Our first room had a problem on bathroom window and we could feel the cold wind of Santiago’s winter during our bath. I complained about it on the first day to the hotel manager and heard: “lo siento, estamos full”. They sent a maintenance guy with a tool kit to try to solve it - the only thing he accomplished was making our bathroom dirt after getting inside it with working boots and using a drilling machine. After 3 days they gave us another standard room, now with air conditioning problems that made the room temperature rise to 28°C overnight - this one not solved until our last day.
Yes, problems happen all the time on hotels, but hotel managers should try to make those problems less impacting to clients. They sent staff people multiple times to our room and didn’t solve the problems. An upgrade to a better room would have also been a good solution, but we just heard “lo sentimos”. Not what you would expect from a...
Read moreWhile the hotel’s staff and location were worth 5 stars, I find that this hotel lacked 5-star amenities. I really appreciated the hospitality, but this hotel lacked so much compared to “name brand” hotels in the area. With 16+ floors, there was only one working elevator so expect a long wait when trying to enter or exit the hotel.
The view was nice, the food was ok, and the location was perfect, but there wasn’t much else to love about the hotel. The pool, gym, and spa were terrible. I booked a massage in the “spa” and it was in a tiny, brightly lit room with no spa amenities. There wasn’t anything relaxing about the experience. I later learned it was a medical spa renting space in the hotel and providing services. The pool? Again, equally disappointing. Very small with a few lounge chairs placed around the edge. Nothing 5-star about it. The gym? Even worse. A small room, crowded with “equipment”.
So, if you’re booking in hopes of 5-star amenities, please don’t. You’re paying for...
